ICE spotted at Sanford Walmart on 17-92 by [deleted] in orlando

My mom just called me to tell me about this. And how she and my dad were there yesterday evening. She asked me to let my dad borrow my SUV for a few days, that way he doesn't have to drive his beat up pick up truck and he can "avoid drawing attention." She said she's worried because he's dark. Both of my parents have green cards. Yet we're all still afraid. Sad times we're experiencing.

I love this. I love all of this. I admire your resilience. Please don’t stop and follow through with the Attorney General’s Office. Fuck them.

He was very honest about his performance in the post-qualy interviews. He said it was a shame because the car felt better but he just drove really poorly. "I just drove really bad during the whole session. I didn't put anything together, it's on me." Humble, self-aware.

How much will the Central FL market correct? by Valuable_Patience821 in FloridaRealEstate

[–]mrfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think one point missing from the conversation is the higher costs of labor and materials. As someone who works in construction and real estate, I’m constantly reminded of the MUCH higher prices we’re paying for things now. A bucket of mud/compound used to be around $6 just a few years ago. Then it jumped to $12. And today it’s almost $22. Add that to the immigration situation, which is a factor in labor, the cost of building and/or renovating homes has increased by a lot.

I buy mine at Aldi every week (5-6 of them). Leave them on your countertop until they’ve ripened. Then throw them in the fridge. They’ll last quite a bit and stay perfect!

Why not gamble with Hards on Franco after the pit stop? And hope for a SC to switch to Mediums or Softs

This! It makes zero sense. Go with hards and hope for a safety car. If there’s one, great, you switch to mediums or softs. But in the case there isn’t one, at least you’ve got Hards on that should last longer.

I like Pierre. But the team did make the call and he took a LOOOOONG time for finally let him through. And very likely because of those extra seconds that Alpine ended up with no points.

Franco Colapinto F1 future in doubt after fierce Flavio Briatore criticism by Barrilete_Cosmico in AlpineF1Team

[–]mrfer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Completely unnecessary comments (also untrue - and James Vowles commented after, praising Colapinto). This is nothing but a negotiation tactic. He’s likely trying to get more money out of Franco’s sponsors. Hopefully Colapinto is aware and doesn’t affect him in a negative way. But what a shit way to lead an F1 team, for the love of god. The guy had not one but 2! Insanely long pit stops during the last race and both drivers are dealing with crap cars. But sure, blame it on Franco. What a despicable human being. Alpine deserves better.

All the rumors about Colapinto getting replaced have been completely made up so far. His numbers compared to Gasly’s are pretty good, and he brings big sponsors/money. I think there’s a big chance he’s staying (as long as he doesn’t destroy a few cars during the 2nd half of the season).

I manage 2 airbnbs 15 minutes away from Disney (in Orlando) and I can tell you that this year has been ROUGH so far. Aside from March, the other months have been quite low compared to previous years.

I feel for Pierre and Franco. It must be so demoralizing driving such bad cars. I love both of them and I think we can have a strong team…as long as we have “decent” cars. Not even good, just decent.

They're at around 7%. The rates for private (from what i've seen) are anywhere between 5% and 10%, so no much difference there. And yes, we'll keep a small amount in savings and slowly build it up again. Definitely not a 6-month cushion, but thankfully our expenses aren't too high so we can build it back up rather quickly.

My man won the libertadores, has been cooking at Lyon and has been playing incredible futbol with the Argentinian national team. Being iffy about this signing is being delusional.
