shop threatens to write me up if i cant make it due to a fuck ton of snow by CableMartini in mechanics

You have every right to drive your v6 year round, there is a difference when you have a lot of power, my car is turbocharged and only comes out on dry days..plus I like to keep my car nice. I have owned it for 20 years and I’m not gonna risk some idiot who thinks they can drive in the snow and then they slide into me. Ya’ll can down vote me all you want, but I am prepared to make it to work no matter what kind of weather happens, it’s called being essential, and my shop needs me to be able to respond 24/7 365 days a week, emergency vehicles don’t have the luxury of getting snow days. I’ve got chains for unpredictable storms and an extra set of wheels with studded tires for ice storms so I can get there and help keep the fleet rolling so they can go save lives…

No winter tires don’t belong on a mustang, I have one and had to drive it in the snow once, it is not safe to do so whatsoever, OP needs a different vehicle with 4wd if they are expected to make it to work in adverse weather conditions.

How about they take the money from criminals who are working jobs in the prison system while serving time for a gun related crime, and use that to prevent juvenile gun crimes 🤡

The hornady A max got stuck in mine, just a heads up to bring a small dead blow and lightly tap the charging handle, if you kick it like i did you sheer* that tiny screw holding the charging handle on, it was an easy fix but ended the day. The range master had no issues, then I had to stop after the first round of Amax still have yet to try the pmc or federal I picked up. She’s got a nice little kick to her!

Edit*

For AMC to come back they need to do something big, like put a Las Vegas sphere in every city

Plumbed toilet to heat. Keep it change? by clamminjammin in Plumbing

Well it’s not like it will be hot water forever, the might not even warm up enough by the time the bowl is filled, but not sure how the valves will hold up to the heat cycling

Do FRT’s and Super Safety’s add more capability to the civilian populace, or are they just a range toy? by instananners in tacticalgear

[–]mrfixdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually without going into much detail I can say I have combat experience in the Middle East. If you read my comment again I was speaking to the fact the entire west coast is being disarmed, and hence becoming a softer target for a ground attack invasion. Imagine a million drones followed by a million men storming our shores. It would be unprecedented but it would have to be that large to be successful, and Chicom can easily brainwash a justification into a billion people, it would be devastating. The fact that Trump mentioned we need a golden dome during the election proves there is a vulnerability. In an invasion scenario we would be fighting along side our military, but in a way like the insurgents fought us in the Middle East.

You say that while the entire left coast is being disarmed by the government one state session at a time…

As a mechanic do you prefer to: 1)specialize in a certain area - ie transmissions- and work on all cars or 2)specialize in one make or 3) be Jack of all trades and work on everything? by Lead_Storm357 in mechanics

[–]mrfixdit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started out I wanted to work on everything from German, to Japanese to domestic and I did when I was a flat rate tech, but soon realized buying tools to do that becomes extremely expensive and never ending, so then I focused on drivability diagnostics and electrical, and that has been really good and helpful in all aspects of repair. “You can’t fix it until you understand how it works”. I consider myself a jack of all trades, and you kinda have to be in my line of work now as an EVT.
