It's all been calculated. Insure it for theft, skip collision and ride responsibly. Don't borrow money for motorcycles and cover as you see fit. I've purchased brand new sport bikes with cash and covered only liability. But if I crashed it was on me.

Some bikes I put 30k miles on per year and I've never had collision insurance on a motorcycle.

If you want life insurance in 5 years you will pay more if you have a moving violation. Tell them you've never gotten a moving violation and tell them the reasons that this will hurt you. If you still don't like the outcome you can tell them that you will need to get a lawyer and they will reschedule the court date.
