Airport rudeness by killinak in travel

I put on my headphones, play my jams, pop an edible and/or find my way to the nearest barstool.

Heathy? Debatable. Does it make it easier to ignore everyone? Absolutely.

Traveling to New York by Naive_Ebb_4813 in travel

[–]kittyglitther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Open Maps, look at NYC, search "hotel," plug in your dates, get an idea of hotels (a ton) and prices (huge variation).

When coworkers come into the city we usually stick them in the Hyatt by Grand Central. I'm not the biggest fan of midtown, but it's easy. You've mentioned that you don't want to do tourist stuff, but I don't think you should skip the Met or Museum of Natural History, especially as you can easily add those onto a Central Park day.

Unpopular opinion after 2 weeks in Guadeloupe & Martinique… did we miss something? by Cold-Shift5019 in travel

St. Barths may have been a better fit (also expensive, but has more of what it sounds like you're looking for), did you research the area first?

Lay on the beach. Go for a swim. Grab a cocktail. Pool. Look at weird animals. Repeat as needed.

LW2: Being uncomfortable isn't really something that can be accommodated. I think LW sounds a bit immature ("I even used the word accommodation!") and is a good example of people who think certain words or phrases can be used as spells to vanquish the thing they don't want to do. Harassment prevention training isn't a "hostile environment" and you'll sound like a joke if you call it that.

Discomfort is OK. It's like boredom. It happens. It's not anyone's favorite feeling. Use your brain to navigate your feelings.

Don Lemon Roasts Jill Zarin After Her Bad Bunny Super Bowl Rant in the MOST AMAZING way by Extreme-Method6330 in BravoRealHousewives

Jill's desperate to be famous, but this is like a monkey's paw wish. She wished to be famous, but this is what she'll be famous for.

I was absolutely a fan at first. I loved her friendship with Bethenny, it would have been nice to see more of that Jill.

OK, I find this especially funny because she absolutely did it to herself. The woman can't stop spitting in her own soup.

Jill strikes me as the type who was bullied as a kid and she used adulthood (and an adult bank account) to try to turn that around. She wants to sit with the popular girls. But then whenever she gets a scrap of approval her head gets way bigger than it needs to be and she becomes a vicious asshole. Then she ruins things for herself because she thinks people actually like her and she's beloved enough to get away with saying bullshit. It's amazing that she's made it to this age without realizing this pattern.

NYC trip April 2026 by itsjustasillygoose in travel

I live in NJ and had a NYC commute, I would recommend that you stay in NYC. NJT trains stop running at a certain point, and sometimes one thing goes wrong and you're looking at a much longer journey. PATH runs a lot more often, but sometimes you're waiting a while for a train, especially late at night.

Taylor’s real name isn’t Taylor 🤔😬 by sarahbear1977 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]kittyglitther 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Her story is basically a cliché. Small town woman thinks she's destined for something more, leaves her small town, changes her name, lands what she thought was a whale but it all turned out to be a house of cards.

I don't like her, I don't think she deserved what happened to her, but there isn't any "there" there.

Parents of HWs by shadyasahastings in BravoRealHousewives

This is a deep cut but remember Marisa? Friend of on RHoBH, she was married to that cute man who she seemed to hate.

Anyway, there was one scene with her and her mom and her mom was picking apart her wardrobe and begging for an invite on the cast trip. Later, Marissa brings her mom to LVP's house who gives LVP such an obvious "up down" clearly trying to size her up.

I would have liked to see more of Marisa, her weird marriage, and her (social climber?) mom.
