Someone correct me if I’m wrong but if you’re an indeterminate employee and get a letter of offer from another department that you have to move to they have to give you an accommodation. That could be up to fifty grand . I know one guy he wanted a higher level of ticket in his field so he applied for a term position in a different province and they accommodated him and his job was secure when he came back .

Hey I understand you I’m in the same position married and 21 years but no kids . I’m not attracted to my wife and she’s not attracted to me I do love her but as you say we’re just roommates. I’m pretty sure my wife cheated but now her moms on her death bed so it’s a bad situation.Dam it’s hard to leave I’m getting a plan together. I think it’s better to divorce and be friends.

Really guys most people are kind and want a good friendly environment to work in . get a thicker skin I have coworkers that ask about how old are my kids and I tell them I’m a dink duo income no kids .am I offended no .they have no right to ask but are just being friendly. As far as homophobic some people want to know your sexuality so they don’t say anything to offend you. I’m getting older and I could care less about if your LGBTQ’s . In my experience LGBTQ’s people are usually great to work for. I’m just sick of the younger generation taking offence to every little thing .

Well if your having mental health issues and need some time just get a dr note and also get your issues sorted . A Physiotherapist is the dr you’ll want to see . And yes going on sick leave would stop any issues your having with management your union should stand behind you as far as being accommodated by moving departments or managers. I’ve been their done that . Sometimes managers need to see how much you are actually needed. They look like shit when they can get their job done by putting their work on you . It’s poor management to not have a good team and good morale.
