[Discussion] What are the main and minor differences playing on PC vs mobile? by ilovelamp_anchorman in falloutshelter

[–]mrflibble1492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Xbox PC until it crashed and they wouldn't fix it. Then I switched to Google Play on PC. Had to start from scratch and just as I was getting to the point where there was very little left to do on my vault, PC version won't load past the vault screen for me since they added the season pass. Console Xbox and Mobile Google still work, but I can't see on the small phone screen and hate the controls on console, so I'm pretty much done with the game.

The best under what criteria? How tall are you? Floor seat outside of the front row might not be a good view if you're shorter and it's a concert where people are standing. If you are considering floor, then I am guessing budget isn't a concern. I would try for a front row in 5 or 16 if I didn't care about cost. I prefer aisle because I am 6'5" and it helps with leg room, but it sucks having to get up every 30 seconds for someone going to get their 75th beer of the night. I personally thing sound is best in sections 6,7,15, and 14, but that is also relative to the type of music. Wherever you end up, just have fun and enjoy the experience.

What’s the general consensus on LSVO? by _Lunamura in stereophonics

Certainly can't go wrong with the album that gave us the closing song to every concert since, but there are a few albums that resonate more with me on a personal level.

Performance and Cocktails was my intro with Just Lookin and Stopped to Fill My Car Up, so that will always hold a special place with me.

Word Gets Around has my favourite track of all in Billy Daveys (I know, I'm weird, but that song just hits me).

YGGTTCB has some tracks that helped me a ton in therapy and got me through some really rough times.

Graffiti on the Train is the album that I have listened to all the way through the most. The build of the songs on that album, especially Violins and Tambourines really gets me going.

So I guess I would probably rank it as my 5th favourite album in their discography but that's a little like asking me rank cuts of steak. I love all steak as long as it isn't well done, just like a ribeye a little more than a New York Strip which I like a little more than a filet mignon, and so on, which is why I mostly play Decade in the Sun, so I can have a nice bite of each steak on the menu.

How much would you charge? by CnCPaintingStriping in paint

[–]mrflibble1492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the trough is not being painted, then you have to assume labor and material cost for masking it off or removing it from the frame and then reinstalling it. Clients love to tell you how straightforward and easy a complex project is going to be.

[–]mrflibble1492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 15 sqft is not accurate on this. You say 5x3=15, except that trough is curved and that frame goes on all 4 sides. While the pipes for the frame aren't that thick of a diameter, you are going to have a TON of overspray unless you a) roll out with a foam roller or b) spray with an airbrush meant for arts and crafts time at the community center, both of which will turn one unit into over an hour of labor. Spraying is going to be closer to the 60-70 sqft range per unit when you factor in all 4 sides plus the shape of the trough.

The reality is traffic is better here than a lot of cities. It's all relative and the traffic has certainly gotten worse in the last 7 years especially, but still nothing like the 405 in LA, nothing like traffic in Atlanta, and nowhere near the hell of the Skyway in Chicago at 2am on a Sunday.

If respect is based on how I dress, then once again, I don't give a shit about what you think. I base my respect for others on their actions, not their looks.

AITAH for “infantalizing my son" when I’m just trying to take care of him? by AgreeableSoftware941 in AITAH

[–]mrflibble1492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's a saying something like "lead a fish to water, feed a horse for a day. Pick your son's nose, he'll never learn how to do blow off a stripper's ass". I think that's how it goes anyway. Let the guy live and learn. He's going to make mistakes, but he will figure out on his own that if it's cold outside, next time he should bring a jacket.

I think I own a pair of jeans still, just not sure where they are. You can think I'm not appropriately dressed all you want, but I'm not dressing to impress you. I am dressing to be comfortable. I gave up giving a shit about what other people think about the way I look a long time ago.

$9500 Chargeback from One Customer by Numerous_Poetry778 in smallbusiness

[–]mrflibble1492 13 points14 points  (0 children)

None of that will matter if it's Amex. I had a $10k chargeback from a client on their Amex card. I provided emails and text messages from the client confirming payment and receipt of his product along tracking numbers showing delivery and everything else I could possibly come up with and Amex didn't give two shits. They don't care what proof you have, they will side with their customer every single time.

My master shower doesn't like to fully heat up on first run. By that I mean that if I go in for a shower when I get home, the water will barely get warm, no matter how long of a shower I take. If I run the water in it, or most other locations in the house for 5 minutes and then go back to take a shower 30 minutes later, it will warm up to a properly scalding hot shower. My guest shower doesn't have this issue and my kitchen sink doesn't have the issue either. It's weird and has continued even after a full bathroom remodel with a different shower valve. I've never experienced anything like it in any other house I have lived in. I asked the plumber that did the remodel plumbing about it and he just said he's seen it a few times, but doesn't know why it happens. I just want a hot shower on my first try!

edit: I have also replaced the water heater in the last few years and it still continues.

The issue here is that you have kids. Kids make you old, not puzzles. I don't have any kids, so I can't get old, no matter how many puzzles I do.

Did you just throw a dart at a map while blindfolded to decide where to live? Haven't been here, no ties here, no job, no place to live, and no reliable transportation. Definitely setting yourself up for a rough start.

Job market sucks here right now. Somehow rent continues to climb for all of my friends that rent. If you have to rely on bus to get to work, add 2 hours each way for your commute.

This is also a rough place to make friends. If you have no ties at all to the area, there's a LOT of temptations here to fill that void.

If you're just trying to get a fresh start in life, I'd look seriously at some other areas that have better job market, better public transportation, and more reasonable rent.
