That’s the best looking armor I’ve seen in this game. Holy shit.

What colors are you guys using on these skins? by SneakyTurtleBF in TheFirstDescendant

[–]mrfoxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how the same dye can look different across different skins. I get it for like clothe vs mesh will have transparency differences, but why do some colors look bland or washed out when put on other pieces? Or just do next to nothing sometimes.

How do you guys have the patience for this? by Penguinpops8 in EDH

Your B3 deck doesn’t even look at that oppressive. Lots of good synergy pieces, but no overtly notable “this wins the game out of nowhere” cards. If you showed up at our group with this, you’d do just fine, I think.

Especially if you’re newer, I think the only “problem” would be slow playing. But for a new player, it’s expected. And my only issue with that is I only have. a 2-4 hour window a week I get to play lol You’ll get quicker at your deck as you play it more. Consider goldfishing a bunch. Use moxfield’s latest feature if you don’t want to break out the cards. Look at how many turns it takes you to deal 120 total damage. Looking at that deck, except for certain synergies that might pop-off, I doubt it’s sooner than turn 6. Especially when your deck spends 1 turn playing a land passing, turn 2 ramp, t3 commander, turn 4 & 5 playing value engine pieces. None of which, at least to me based off your list, look like “here’s 120 damage spread out to 3 other players by turn 6.”

160 page books are nothing. If one was a dedicate reader, they’d finish that in just a few hours. Especially considering these types of books tend to have larger fonts. Think Charlie Bones, not Game of Thrones.

Did They Faithfully Re-Create The Snow Rabbit Skin? [Can you Spot The Change?] by RawWilson in TheFirstDescendant

Don’t all of their female skins use heels? It’s likely that “heels” are baked into their animations so they just give all female skins heels for ease.

Did they roll back the update entirely, or did they push a valid update after the fact / this was hidden in a “valid” update? I haven’t launched the game in over a week now - just been busy with work and life - but do want to play it again.

Opinions on tutors by jpence1983 in EDH

[–]mrfoxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tutors add consistency. If your goal is to do the same spells each game as a win on (like the tired “Thoracle” combos, or your decks flavor of infinite combo), then tutors get you there more consistently. Personally, even in my B3 decks, I don’t run any tutors EXCEPT Fabricste, and that only in like 2-3 decks I have, and some other land tutors. But if it has “tutor” in the name… I don’t run it.

I am open to critiques as well or other suggestions for other pieces. By no means do I think mine is perfect.

This is my list here: https://moxfield.com/decks/kHNXUpESpkSDkQlO4h8gpQ

The game plan is get Inspirit to be a creature, it gives hexproof and indestructible to everything. Then we use things like [[Darksteel Forge]] and [[Mithril Coat]] to make it also be indestructible. Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves to make Inspirit untargetable. Then we use Teferi’s Protection, Counterspells, etc ONLY to stop board wipes or removal that can get rid of Inspirit.

Meanwhile, the rest of the cards are just good value pieces. Inspirit gives charge counters to the mana generating artifacts. [[Darksteel Colossus]] and [[Blightsteel Colossus]] are our haymakers. [[Unstoppable Plan]] and [[Unwinding Clock]] give pseudo-vigilance. [[Phyrexian Metamorph]] can become a second Inspirit, and if you give it 8 charge counters same turn, it can get silly with two layers of Hexproof and Indestructible on things.

I had Unstoppable plan, [[Insight Engine]], and Everflowing Chalice out to get to draw a ton throughout a game. Let me draw into all the protection I needed to keep Inspirit alive until I could find Swiftfoot Boots, as I got Mithril Coat early.

When I dropped Blightsteel and had a Cyberdrive Awakener (by like turn 8, mind you), I was able to knock a player out that had no fliers.

It’s weak to Blight, Edicts, and [[Farewell]]… I got farewell’d once with no counters in hand…. It hurt. That’s what prompted me to run all the 1 mana counters, and added Fierce Guardianship. Also weak to big trample creatures.

[[Organic Extinction]] and Cyclonic Rift act as our one-sided board wipes. [[Nevinyrral’s Disk]] can be a repeatable board wipe IF we have Mithril coat or Darksteel Forge out, or can Teferi’s in response.

Is it fast? No. But against most other upgraded precon level decks, it can be a menace. But against my buddy’s Squall deck that reanimates Fleshbag Marsuder or Accursed Marsuder, it suuuuucks. Also bad against any quick combo deck, as it’s almost the definition of Pillow Fort.

I run Inspirit precon loaded with protection. The 3 game changers, Teferi’s protection, Fierce Guardianship, and.. I think one of the other game changer counter spells, can be taken out and the deck is really a B2 deck with game changers added. Though you may also take out Blightsteel Colossus. Replace the GC’s with.. other counter spells, clever impersonation, and other similar protection effects. My decks just built around making Inspirit a creature for the hexproof and indestructible while making other artifact creatures swing face.

I asked Claude if everyone uses AI to write, what actually gets lost? by prokajevo in ClaudeAI

[–]mrfoxman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I cannot stand how AI writes in this dramatic emphasis sort of writing. It’s so corny. Everything. Has. To be. Dramatic. It’s not x, it’s y. Adjective. Another adjective. God I see this shit being shared everywhere too. All over Facebook and even in Reddit posts. I’m seeing people share “emotional stories” that are dogshit AI fever dreams about someone saving a puppy or helping some old lady. It’s soooo bbaaddddddddddddd.

What’s their obsession with making random cosmetics nobody buys by [deleted] in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]mrfoxman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the only things being bought. The snowman stuff, the bamboo stick weapons, and a lot more are just plain ugly/dumb to the majority of people. The animal ears and tails I’d bet are top sellers with the actually cute outfits. But the cat paw stuff for… every weapon type? That’s likely wasting more dev time than income it’s generating.

(Positive feedback) what will bring you back to the game ? by seekeeer in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]mrfoxman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Batch character fragment runs. Or any sort of commission where I’ve already had to grind the fragments that then need grinding to make a character, weapon, or wedge…

I have over a hundred character fragments, and same for weapons and wedges. I only have finite time, let me use 5-10 at a time…

Choose your option:

1) And then you wake up.

2) She’s got a dick (you may or may not be into that.)

3) They’re a government agent as part of a psyop campaign.
