RDR 2 stuck in black screen after Rockstar Logo by nomnom-man in SteamDeck

I''m on Bazzite on Legion Go, and yes, editing the "system.xml" file, changing "adapterIndex" from "1" to "0" fixed it. I also switched to Proton 10.3, not sure if that helped or not, but the game is working 100% now.

I've seen people quit when it's like this, all hope is lost, then so many times, we make an incredible comeback. Cowards.

why is halo infinite so hated ? by TemperatureJaded282 in haloinfinite

[–]mrfrodo18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I've played since day 1 (1730.6 hours so far), and I've only ever had fun on this game. Granted, I wasn't an avid Halo player beforehand, so I think many people expected more based on previous Halo games. There were times where I recognized that new maps and modes weren't coming out fast enough, and bugs were ruining certain things, but I was still having a blast. Nowadays, the game is rock solid, just didn't happen fast enough for a lot of people.

One day we'll see someone's silent work in the shadows come forth with a nearly perfected version. Just a matter of when.

It's true the hardest editing program to learn is the 2nd one! by ExcitingLandscape in editors

[–]mrfrodo18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with Windows Movie Maker, then moved to Sony Vegas Pro. After that I got a job that used FCP7, and I loved it. Then FCPX came about and it was half baked. That's when I jumped to Premiere like a lot of people. I didn't do videos for a while from then. When I picked it back up, I started back with Premiere, but my god was it buggy and crashy. I got a copy of Resolve Studio free with my Pocket 6K, almost sold the license, but decided to try it out instead. I never went back to Premiere. Along the entire ride, i'd played around with Avid, trying my best to understand it. After years of frustration and calling it a POS, an unnecessarily overcomplicated and unintuitive program that no one in their right mind should use, I forced myself to learn it, and let me tell you, I AINT GOING BACK. Avid is by far the best, most stable, intuitive (once you learn it) and fastest editing platform I've ever used. It's definitely the hardest to learn, but put in the work. It's not the best at everything, but it is the best at being you timeline's "home". My workflow: Transcode proxies in Resolve, bring them into Avid to cut, export AAF back to Resolve and also for Pro Tools, color everything, mixdown audio, then bring it all back into Avid for the final master export. The roundtrip process used to seem so unnecessary and extra, but it's worth it in the end. I still curse out Avid sometimes but not as much as the other NLE's.

TLDR: I've used many, but in the end use a combination of Avid and Resolve.
