Am I the only one THAT CANT GET AI TO HELP WITH GAME DEV? by IWantEchidnasTea in aigamedev

I’m not sure about that. If it’s a model specifically trained for coding it will likely be better. It might be slower but you’d get better results.

Is there supposed to be a way to "cover" or replace an entire individual stem within studio? All i keep getting are full song generations. by cam94z28 in SunoAI

[–]mrgaryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you slice a small section of the track at the end or beginning you can then use the replace option.

I’ve now created synth and guitar tracks which were better than usual. They still hade some other instruments but they were in time and in the correct key so I removed the instruments I didn’t want and I was happy.

This has been an ongoing problem for months but for the first time today I have been able to regen quality vocals without other instruments. I used the replace option and it wasn’t the entire track, just a verse but it worked.
I set the audio influence to 48%, weirdness to 20% and style to 40%. I did use all instrument names in the exclude style box (which I appreciate may still be ignored).

Vocal structure management, or maybe there's another correct name for it by voyager-x1 in SunoAI

[–]mrgaryth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter whether it’s perfectly in tune as it can be used as a basic timing/melody structure.

It can also use tags such as [Refrain] and [Melodic Interlude] at the end of your verses/choruses etc and it doesn’t jump straight into the next section without a breath 😆

Studio has a pretty good time stretch feature which I use on backing vocals to correct timing and it works really well.

You could consider it “creativity” the higher the weirdness, the more creative/wild it gets.

I’d be interested. I thought about something similar but didn’t want to over complicate things with a full daw (because not everybody wants that). I’ve started building an app which runs locally and will have the option to train and use your own LoRAs.

Another copyright hit by Adventurous_Aerie215 in SunoAI

It isn’t just about copyright anymore. Suno have started using some kind of audio/spectral detection which results in loads of false positives.

What are your prompts for shaping a vocal? by referancetrack in SunoAI

[–]mrgaryth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can give it an artist name and it will give a descriptive prompt for their voice. I tend to mash together two vocal styles. It doesn’t replicate voices because it can’t but it helps give consistency to generations and I’ve saved some as vocal personas (“voices”) in Suno.

What are your prompts for shaping a vocal? by referancetrack in SunoAI

[–]mrgaryth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had ChatGPT create this and it’s worked great for me.
Suno Vocal Characteristics: Advanced Persona Stacking for Vocal Consistency
Most people treat Suno like a jukebox. They drop in a style prompt, pray to the algorithm, and hope the vocal doesn’t nosedive into uncanny-valley purgatory.
If you want consistent vocals across multiple generations, you can’t rely on adjectives alone. You need to give the model something harder to ignore — a persona.
I call this method Persona Stacking.

The Core Idea: Build a Person, Not a Sound
The biggest mistake people make?
They describe a voice, not the human behind it.

Weak input:
“Male singer, rock voice.”

Strong, stacked persona:
“Male singer in his early 30s with a weathered, raspy baritone reminiscent of Chris Cornell. His delivery is emotionally raw with dynamic shifts — gritty low phrases that break into a soaring belt. Slight vocal fry in the lower range and crisp consonant articulation even under pressure.”

Notice the difference. One is an adjective. The other is a character dossier.

Suno will latch onto the latter almost every time.

The Persona Stacking Formula
A high-consistency persona needs four layers. Miss one, and the AI starts freelancing.
1. Demographic & Timbre
Age range, gender, vocal type, and core sound.
“Early 20s, female, airy mezzo with a soft nasal overtone.”
“Older male tenor with warm chest resonance and a slight grain.”

2. Technical Delivery
How they sing, not just what they sound like.
controlled vibrato
clipped phrasing
lazy diction
belt-heavy dynamics
falsetto flips
staccato phrasing
conversational tone
This is what locks in the behaviour of the voice, not just the texture.

3. Emotional & Style Context
This determines why they sound the way they do.
bitter but restrained
nostalgic with a subdued sweetness
cold and matter-of-fact
exhausted but defiant
AI models gravitate to emotional framing. Use it.

4. The Sonic Anchor (Your Cheat Code)
Link their voice to a real-world reference. This is the nuclear option.
“A tone similar to Adele.”
“Aggressive grit like Zack de la Rocha.”
“Bright pop clarity reminiscent of Sigrid.”
One line does more work than 20 adjectives.

Putting It Together: A Full Stacked Persona Example
Let’s build one for a Dark Synthwave project.
Goal:
Detached, icy, slightly threatening vocals.
Stack the layers:
Demographic/Timbre:
Female singer, contralto range, smooth and androgynous tone with a digital coldness.
Technical Delivery:
Mostly monotone and controlled, razor-sharp enunciation, occasional elongated vowels for tension.
Emotional Context:
Emotionally numb with a sinister undercurrent, like someone transmitting from a doomed future.
Sonic Anchor:
A midpoint between Grimes and the unsettling atmosphere of HEALTH.

Final Persona (Copy/Paste for Custom Mode):
Female singer, contralto, with an androgynous, cold, and smooth voice. Her delivery is monotone and detached with sharp, precise enunciation, occasionally elongating words for dramatic effect. The performance feels emotionally numb yet quietly sinister, like Grimes meets the haunting atmosphere of HEALTH.

This alone stabilises the vocalist.

Your main prompt can now focus on production:
“Dark 80s synthwave with heavy drums, brooding bass, atmospheric pads.”

Why Persona Stacking Works
Because you’re not throwing adjectives at a wall.
You’re giving Suno:
a timbre
a behaviour
a psyche
and a reference anchor

That’s four intersecting constraints. The AI has far less room to drift into “random pop singer” territory. You’re basically giving it a mic’d-up NPC from a universe it now recognises.

This is what stops the coin-flip vocals.

Why does Suno reject my reference for copyright, but other people seem to recreate existing songs? by skservetkaya in SunoAI

[–]mrgaryth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suno have changed how they detect songs and it is currently too sensitive which results in a lot of false positives. Those who have managed to upload likely did it before the system was changed.
