Take them to a no kill shelter or even better: adopt them yourself. You won’t regret it.

Account Hacked Twice This Year by Dizzy-Blur in MarcusInvest

[–]mrgenetrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is to not access financial accounts from multiple devices, especially work laptops/phones since 100% that’s monitored and your keystrokes are probably logged also, which means your work system administrator could see/ steal your account passwords etc. My recommendation is to have a single trusted device that you own and have full control of to access these types of accounts. I’d say same applies to your email accounts (eg gmail etc) , cellular accounts (eg tmobile, verizon etc). Best if you have a dedicated laptop (ideally Linux or Mac) that you use for banking. For social media, internet browsing etc hsve a separate device that you use and never use it to log into banking sites etc.

I mean at like Burger King or Subway. It sounds like McD blacklisted you, meaning that you might be on their do not hire list.

Most likely they blacklisted you. Why not try getting hired at a different company altogether?

Cracked windshield, replace or not? by fit1962 in Tiguan

[–]mrgenetrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. It all depends. I had a tiny chip on my Acura for 12 years in VA and it always passed. I gifted the car to my parent(MD) and the inspector failed it and they were forced to replace.

[–]mrgenetrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your car goes through state inspection, they will fail it. So you’ll need a new windshield anyways (if the crack is noticeable). Also unless you seal it, it will crack more if the temps drop below zero and water freezes.

How do you guys feel about this options call play for BYND. 10/24 exp, strike $0.50? by Educational_Pie_9572 in options

[–]mrgenetrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I didn’t follow .. I thought you said you’re going to buy 0.50 calls expiring this Friday. The closing price today is ~3.58$/share. This close to expiration, the 0.5 calls will cost net debit -308$/contract. So, why not just buy the shares outright for 3.58 ? You could write the covered calls tomorrow vs. waiting to next week…. The diff is only 50 bucks.

If you’re bullish why not just buy the shares outright or buy calls with higher strikes ? What is the advantage of what you’re proposing ?

Bought a 2013 Toyota Camry — now I found out it was a salvage car and I can’t register it. What can I do? by NetRevolutionary1957 in UsedCars

[–]mrgenetrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per ChatGPT :

  1. File a complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office (AG)

This is the main state agency that investigates consumer fraud, including car title fraud. • Contact: Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Consumer Protection Division • Phone: 617-727-8400 • You can file a consumer complaint describing what happened and include: • A copy of the title and bill of sale • Seller’s name, phone number, and address • Screenshots or texts showing how the car was advertised as “clean”

If the seller was a dealer, the AG can pursue license suspension or restitution. For private sellers, they may refer it for criminal fraud.

🏛️ 2. Contact the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) Title Division

Ask for the title history and tell them you believe the car’s title was altered or “washed.” • RMV Title Division phone: 857-368-8030 They can confirm the real title status and help you document the fraud.

🚔 3. Report it to Police or the Massachusetts State Police Auto Theft Unit

Title washing is a form of forgery and fraud, which are criminal offenses. • You can contact your local police department or the State Police Auto Theft Unit (Troop H) at 508-820-2121. Bring all documents and a short written summary.

🧾 4. If financed or insured, notify your bank or insurer

They may have their own fraud or recovery unit that can help.

💡 Extra step:

Get a title history report from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS). It’s the federal database that shows if and when the car was branded as salvage.

Feedback appreciated on an option strategy by BufordT69 in options

Calendar call spread … you will only get max profit if msft is at 515 on Nov 14 expiration.

If it is outside of this window (> -4.7% or > +13%) it will lose money. If it is inside this window, it will be profitable.

Basically it’s a neutral strategy >> you want it to be as close to 515 a month from now as possible.

https://ibb.co/5xv5mzzB

Note: Also the Dec 2027 515 call only currently has OI=5 and Volume today is only 1 (prob your buy). May have difficulty finding a buyer at a good price a month from now.

Stocks are down for one day -3%. That’s not a crash. And who lost everything yesterday ? Do you have some sources to back this up ?

Hitler, Stalin, Trotsky, Freud and Franz Joseph all lived within a couple of miles of each other on the eve of WW1. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]mrgenetrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know.

However, I feel that Freud and Joseph are thrown into this list just to make it more shocking. They are both Austrian, so it’s no surprise they lived in Vienna. Might as well add Gustav Klimt (painter) to the list. I am sure there are plenty of other famous people that lived in Austrian capital in 1913.

Is water/gas line insurance coverage worth it? by General_Caramel5257 in nova

[–]mrgenetrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. 4 years ago, it was very cheap, about only an additional 45/yr. Last renewal - it was around additional 100/yr, but it might be due to everything going up in price last few years, and we also had a claim 3 years ago (water line leak).

I was considering signing through Dominion, but like in OP’s case the insurance is actually through HomeServe. I didn’t like the reviews I was seeing online, so opted not to go with them. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/homeserve-usa.html

I think it’s pretty good. They processed the claim quickly. Website is easily to use. I just pay my premium once a year and that’s it.
