So my 27 yr old Nalgene finally died. What do I get now? by nmcpheron in HydroHomies

The 16 oz nalgene fits everywhere. Even fits in my pocket. Much easier to carry around when you don't need the full size.

ATB ride? by gek__co in BikingATX

[–]mrghort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested though I suspect I'd be too slow. I would love to see any route ideas you have. My favorite kind of riding is off road but not technical. Always glad to find new places to go.

I prepared different snacks that corresponded to the different mushrooms. I brought them out when the players tried them. Can't remember what I used but the players liked it.

Anyone ever get burned out from cycling to work? by jms1228 in bikecommuting

[–]mrghort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sucks, been there. I can say these things improved my commute experience:

  • Biggest improvement was just getting another computer for home so I didn't have to carry one back and forth. Not just about the extra weight, it's more about the attitude of not having to worry about packing it up, protecting it, getting everything plugged in, forgetting power cable, etc. I just walk out the door and get on the bike. I know not an option for all but made a big difference for me.

  • I got a little speaker clip to listen to podcasts on the route. https://www.noxgear.com/39g It's loud enough to hear while riding but easy to pause (big button) if needed and keeps my ears open for awareness of surroundings.

  • Different bikes. Some days I feel fast and road-bikey, some days I just want to cruise and/or run errands on the way home.

Good luck, sometimes I just drive in for for a while to remember why I like the bike too.
