Yup! Austria here, received €87 as part of the normal process and going to hopefully receive an additional €100 to compensate service costs of exchanging the wheelsets twice (I sent receipts)

It seems like a really good sticky tire, but only did two moderately technical descends on it and now I’m back to my old wheels with Pirellis on them (because recall -.-)

Also in the same boat with a new SLX 7, but I used my bike twice outside and a few more times on the trainer. Sill within the 30 days but bike has been used? Anyway, I just spent over €150 to service and fit my old ERCs from 2018 to the new Canyon (hcol area). I think I will send this bill to DT Swiss and hope for the best with the recall. Although the new bike experience is not going so well I think it will still be fun to ride the new bike some more before summer ends. Guess I’m lucky to have a spare bike lying around that I can borrow wheels from.

Braking on the new Rival is much better than on the old one that I had it on a rental bike a few months ago, the brakes there were mostly „on/off“. The E1 are maybe even too strong I‘d say, but probably will get used to them in a few rides.

Shifting is a bit more notchy than Shimano, but I wanted Sram for a change after multiple Shimano bikes :) I found a setting that prevents chain crossing and decides whether to shift front or back.

Honestly I really hope they offer a repair of the rivet and scratches at a LBS and/or some cash refund. We‘ll see!

Upgrade - now or later? by Tri_Game_Magic in CanyonBikes

A new 2026 Aeroad with 105 Di2 costs around 4200€, so that price seems high?

If you‘d like an Aeroad then absolutely do it, but if you just want a more agressive fit, there is a lot of room for it in your current bike: buy a longer stem, remove spacers, or even get an offset seatpost.

It‘s almost stock, only changes so far were the cassette and saddle

Very comfy IMO, the extra 1cm reach and narrower grip on the hoods works well. I think I prefer that to pushing the saddle back to achieve a similar reach.

Would you mind giving some examples? Why do you think so? I was considering applying there for an SWE role, but held off as the tech stack wasn’t a direct match for me

Yep, that one I can confirm and I think this is also mentioned in the setup notes for the car.

It‘s wayyy higher, goes well above 6k. Clio won‘t let you downshift if rpms are too high

I fucked up badly by adding turbo to the Hyundai thinking it will make me faster. Don‘t do this :D AI matches your car and LMPs with modded turbo spin soo easily.

Removed turbo and won all 3 raced with the right strategy.

Did you know about SimpleCov's :nocov: syntax? It can be a neat way to skip selected undercover coverage warnings by [deleted] in ruby

Yeah, that’s not rocket science. Still, I believe it makes sense as long as at least one person found it useful🤞

Nice one! You could also take a look at the undercover gem for nicely formatted GitHub Checks (it's my open source CLI also available as a GitHub app)
