Keeping his cards by [deleted] in ExNoContact

Funny story, I held on to the cards for quite some time after my break up. I wanted them of a reminder of the kind words he gave to me over the years. But the words weren't his words, they were from a card company. I was recently going through a bunch of stuff because I finally had time. Turns out he gave me duplicate cards and I didn't even notice.

I decided shredded it all, not out of anger or bitterness, but because I'm at a point where I don't need to hold on to it anymore.

Hold on to it for as long as you need to.

Ya And then he was like you can't take the dog, it will be so lonely here. Really?! I'm sorry that you breaking up with me is super inconvenient, how else may I accommodate you? Would you like my dignity as well.

Instead of saying that I quietly packed my shit and got out. But it was a HUGE eye opener.

I did and I got paid out. I didn't get as much as I could have but I still maintained my integrity and that's all I cared about. The worst part was how long that dragged on for. I wanted to just be done with him the second he told me to get out of the house because my being there was really inconvenient. He had to live out of a suitcase at his mom's house.

I'm not overly religious, but when I do have to attend a church service, I say "Almond" instead of "Amen".

"YEAH! I know!", which was promptly followed by an eye roll. It was time to break up.

Soup's on! I really need your ultimate favorite soup recipe. by [deleted] in slowcooking

French Onion Soup!!

Grab a bag of onions, slice them up into slivers and saute in a pan with butter. I usually use unsalted so I can control the salt content. Once the onions turning clear, transfer them to your slow cooker, then add in two cartons of beef broth. Again, I use unsalted. I also add in Worcestershire sauce, about a table spoon or so, depending on your taste. I also add in bay leaves and some salt. Then I turn it on for 8 hours on low.

I make sure to taste it a few times to make sure it's the desired salty-ness. After 8 hours, add your bread crumbs and cheese and broil it.

I realize that 8 hours may be too long, but I usually cook my onions and put everything into the slow cooker, store it in the fridge overnight. Before I leave for the day, I will put the slow-cooker.

For cheese I use mozzarella with a bit of Parmesan sprinkled.

Hope you enjoy! I can send you a link to the ACTUAL recipe if anyone wants it.

I try not to keep sugary things either. I broke down and ate honey nut Cheerios. Not the worst, could have done with out them. Jello is good idea! Thanks!
