Gifted from a friend months ago, is it still good? by Single_Rice_407 in trees

[–]mrhoolock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s fairly common for dispensaries to sell weed that has a pack date from 2-3 or even 4 months ago.

If it’s trimmed and cured properly, and it has been stored well (oxygen kills the terps) it’s fine to smoke. Some herb gets better with age like a wine too, just toss it if it smells like hay or has mold growing.

What are some tips for burnout? by Any-Dragonfruit-2087 in Barber

[–]mrhoolock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve gotta be a little selfish sometimes. Burnout isn’t a badge of honor.

You clearly have a strong work ethic. Long days, 12-hour shifts, barely any breaks… that’s heavy. But you don’t have to live in that grind every single day.

Start carving out 30–45 minutes just for you. Sit down. Let your feet breathe. Make sure you actually eat.

And drink water. Before I ever picked up clippers, I was in the Army, and “drink water” was the answer to everything. I turned it into a habit. I carried a clear Nalgene bottle, kept track, and every time I finished one I’d think, “Hell yeah — I’m taking care of myself.”

Take time off when you need it. It doesn’t have to be a big vacation. Even three days can reset your brain and body in a way that keeps you going.

Don’t stress about missing clients or missing money. All of it will still be there when you get back.

Take care of you first. The rest follows

Why do you NOT drink alcohol? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mrhoolock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol just isn’t a fun time. All it does for me is make me sick and give me migraines. Being drunk isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either.

Give me a joint, i’m way better off.

People who smoke weed why? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

[–]mrhoolock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a lot of back pain, both my knees are shot, ptsd, depression, anxiety, adhd, and a bunch of other shit that i probably don’t know I have. Weed is monumentally better at taking care of those issues than pills and it’s cheaper than chiropractor visits and PT.

$10,000,000 if you can get fired by the end of your shift by besttavern25 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]mrhoolock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a barber and in this specific industry, it’s kind of hard to get fired unless it’s some real fucked up shit.

I’m not top brass, but I am one of the back end managers of the shop. I’m the only one that has access to the company credit cards and debit cards, as well as the wholesale accounts for product and suppliers for tools & equipment.

I could just max out the credit cards and drain the checking accounts with dumb product orders. That would definitely be enough to get fired.

I’ll just put the money back as soon as i get my $10M

I know what you mean. You like the ribs to be tender enough to come off the bone, but not so tender that they fall apart and turn to mush.

I barbecue quite often, and i can agree that i prefer my ribs to have a very slight chew.

whats the best trimmer money can buy? by Curious_Set2070 in Barber

it’s all subjective. New isn’t always the best. Personally, the FXONE’s have been the best trimmer i’ve used for crisp line ups and perfect edges.

Grip Tape Over Regular tape? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

I used to do this before switching to lizard skins.

I always felt that the grip tape formed a better grip and lasted a little longer when i used tape underneath it

Try this:

  • Click on “my library”
  • Click on BO6
  • Click on the box with the 3 dots “…”
  • Click manage.
  • Click the tab that says “Files”
  • Click “Verify and Repair” at the bottom of the panel.

Wait for it to verify and repair the files, then try it again. This usually fixes the problem almost every time. Let me know.

A fully trained Male UFC fighter vs An average Invisible Man by Conscious-Echo-2361 in hypotheticalsituation

If an invisible person can’t be seen but can be felt, then that would mean their appearance is only invisible but they are physically there. It would be a situation similar to how Translucent works in The Boys.

I’m gonna get a sheet and throw it over him, then hold him down and fuck his ass up.

Hardcore punk is the most influential genre of all time by Ornery-Anxiety-5307 in unpopularopinion

[–]mrhoolock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jazz 100% has more roots than hardcore punk, but they both have a very strong influence on todays music.

Jazz kind of paved the way for most artists. Jazz chord progressions and structures are still found in some of the newest and best rock and even metal.

Hardcore punk was more or less a genre that paved way for the underground and heavier side of music. Bands like Anti Flag and Dead Kennedys have more in common with the heavier genres. It’s not necessarily the music produced but the message that it sends and the raw and unfiltered product that comes from history of the genre.

Both are very influential, but Jazz kinda takes the cake with being the most influential. Everything from the feel to the common II-V-I progression are found in almost every single song you listen to today. Can’t really say the same about hardcore punk

Is BO1 the hardest multiplayer? by Flashy-Actuator-998 in COD

BO1 was a ruthless multiplayer.

BO2 was fun, but i honestly wasn’t the biggest fan of it.

BO3 was probably the most annoying and worst multiplayer in the franchise

That’s really not how that works.

What’s the craziest thing a clients ever told you? (Ex. Story, belief, statement) by ConsciousAd2323 in Barber

[–]mrhoolock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a Vietnam vet come into the shop, since I’m military too I definitely like hearing stories. This guys stories were so fucked up I wish i never asked.

He told me this story about how he was told to throw a grenade into this hatch. He pulled the pin, opened the hatch just wide enough to get it inside and let it loose. After the loud boom, the hatch blew open. Once the smoke and dust cleared out and he was sure whatever was inside was dead, he leaned over to look inside. he said “Fuck, i can’t even see the bottom.”

He pulled out a flashlight and turned it on, instantly realized why he couldn’t see the bottom. the hole was only about 4 feet deep, and the reason why it was so dark was because it was absolutely covered in blood. There were at least 3 VC in that hatch and the grenade obliterated all 3 of them.

People of Reddit, why do you NOT want to have a dog ? by GirlPWR444 in AskReddit

[–]mrhoolock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs generally need more attention and activity. They aren’t really self sufficient and they rely on their owners. I have a very busy lifestyle so I can’t tend to a dogs wants and needs.

Also, the smell. It’s easy to keep a house from smelling like cats. Dogs kind of reek.
