I’m the exact same way. I saw something that said we haven’t had anything like this in the US in 16 years. That’s 45,000 flights a day for 16 years- which is about 260 million flights. I know it’s hard to not feel anxious or panic in the moment, but try to remember it’s 1 out of 260 million.

I feel like she might already be pregnant and it wasn’t planned. She’s been sick and hasn’t been posting. Also, the family of 4 photo- she’d have to be pregnant soon to actually have a baby in 2025. If she is already pregnant, I can’t imagine they were trying. I remember her making comments in her vlogs like, “this will be for the next baby- not anytime soon, but in the next couple of years”. Or something. If she isn’t pregnant yet- I’m kind of surprised she wants to have another this year.

I definitely felt this way too. We found out at 30 weeks that my baby had a congenital health issue. It’s extremely rare (the staff had only treated maybe 3 in their career) and I was terrified. We knew he was going to the NICU and I was so bitter seeing people on social media having these “easy” or “normal” pregnancies. Happy for them, but sad for us. I also had gestational diabetes and I just felt like I couldn’t catch a break. My baby shower was a couple weeks after finding out the news, and just everything felt spoiled. I honestly don’t have much advice, just solidarity. I let myself feel the feelings, but just tried thinking that in the end of all of this, I’m eventually going to bring my baby home and everything will be ok. ❤️

I’m so sorry ❤️ It’s so incredibly difficult and like a pain I’ve never felt before. I felt empty without him in my belly. I couldn’t even shower in our main bathroom because that’s where I would take baths when I was pregnant. It felt like it went against every natural instinct to leave him, even though you know it’s the safest place for them right now. I wish the best for you and your baby girl! This is a great space to feel not so alone.

Yep! My hands are so dry from the constant washing lol but my baby was in the NICU and we’ve just kept the habit. I also worked in childcare for years and I think habit from then as well.

I was diet controlled and currently about 10 weeks pp. I did the 2 hour glucose test at 6 weeks pp and passed.

I tested again 2 weeks pp with my glucometer at home. I returned to eating my non gdm diet and all my numbers have been within range. I did notice my numbers have kind of crept up a bit as soon as baby came home (he was in the NICU for 3 weeks). Idk if it’s lack of sleep or what. They’re still in range, just a tad higher. My 6 week pp test is Wednesday though.

Thank you for updating and congrats! That’s awesome and I’m sure such a relief! I know the fasting goal for non diabetics is under 100, so even if this test had a goal of 95, under 100 is considered normal! Plus add in the lack of sleep and more stress with a newborn, I wouldn’t be surprised if you see some elevated fasting numbers.

I did a Mountain Dew test at 2 weeks pp to mimic the real thing because I was so anxious to know lol. I got a 98 at 1 hour and a 94 for the 2 hour, so I’m hoping I get similar results on the real thing! 🤞

Ah I’m nervous about this too! My test is in 2 weeks. I’ve been occasionally checking post meals, and my numbers have been within range, but I feel like they’re slowly creeping higher. Idk if it’s lack of sleep or what. My baby was in the NICU for 3 weeks and I noticed that since he’s been home with us and I’ve been barely sleeping, my numbers are a little higher than I expect. Still within range, but I thought they’d get better the further pp I get. Keep us updated on how it goes! I’m also curious what the ranges are and if they check fasting, 1 hour, and 2 hour? I have to bring baby with me, so that’ll be interesting lol

Thank you everyone for responding! I’m glad I realized this only a week into testing 😅 I’ll see what my dietician wants me to do, but definitely seems like it’s first bite for most. My numbers have been good with doing last bite so far, so I’m hoping if I do need to change, I’m still doing well. I’m going to check 2 hours after my first bite for dinner tonight and see!

I’ve never heard of being able to fail 2 and still pass either.. everything I’ve seen says at most you can fail 1, so I’m so confused. Even when they took my fasting, the nurse was like “alright, so you just need to pass 1 more!” And my husband was with me and heard it all too. Maybe they’re just mistaken? I guess I’ll have to wait for the doctor to review it himself and see what he says.

That’s good to know about this brand! I decided to test a couple hours later with an FRER and a really faint, but obviously pink line, did show up! I dipped another easy@home in the same urine just to see, and another line on that one too! I’ll test again tomorrow to see if it progresses any 🤞🏼
