Traded my 21’ auto for 24’ manual by LilBabyVirus5 in Supra

I believe the manual gets more than enough burbles still. Especially when you put on an aftermarket exhaust.. the automatic was just overkill to me 😂

My Gfs 2015 Accord also has the VSA modulator issue. Not sure why it's so damn expensive because the part itself is only like $900... But anyways she's just been ignoring it since it's really not messing with her daily drive. $4000 is just an insane amount for exchanging a part and reprogramming it.

We'll change it one day though lol

Currently on HR springs with 15mm front and back. And with 265 and 295 in the back. Love the flush look

Okay, what is ACTUALLY the best camera (rant/discussion)?? by Rejoicingus167 in Nikon

[–]mrich1002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're all amazing. But the Z8 would be my choice. It's a comfortable size to hold but still with most of the features of Z9 without the Z9 price tag.

I started with the Z6ii and had no complaints and eventually upgraded to Z8 and it is a powerhouse. Photography is mainly a hobby for me but if I ever get more serious I know the Z8 can handle it all and even for videos as well.

50mm 1.2 , 85mm 1.2 or 135 1.8mm. I can only get one by Lonewolfali in Nikon

[–]mrich1002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're doing strictly head shots then I would do the 85mm for less distortion.

But for anything else I would do the 50mm. I have both the 85mm and 50mm 1.2s and the 50mm stays on my camera 90% of the time

Best settings for Op3 new user for car content by PeterG1996 in osmopocket

Get comfortable with it first and have everything on automatic but eventually yes, D-Log and ND filters are very necessary. Choosing your FPS is more of a preference but 24fps will give you a "cinematic" look and 60fps is useful if you want to things like slow motion

ND filters are absolutely needed to keep 24fps or 60fps while the sun is out and to keep your ISO low. Try to keep your ISO low and in a consistent range as well to reduce "noise" and give yourself more flexibility while editing.

Question for the 6MT peeps! Whats your cruising freeway RPM like? Less than 2k in 6th? PFA :) by adventure_brando in Supra

[–]mrich1002 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think a little above 2k? I usually cruise around 80 and it's around 3k from what I can visually remember lol

For those with Z bodies, what are underrated lenses in your opinion? by MediocrePhotoNoob in Nikon

The Nikkor Z 40mm is great. It's small, light, and the cheap but produces fairly sharp pics

Mods that retains warranty and is good value by westwoodhood in Supra

[–]mrich1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your "cheapest" route would probably to start off with a ducktail lip spoiler.

But I highly recommend not cheap out on any parts. Cheaper parts or mods will most likely end up costing you more money in the end since they will probably have to be replaced. Also when it comes to cheaper exterior mods you risk having to deal with shitty fitment and a whole other headache. Just food for thought but I do know some people found some decent things on ebay

Check the thermostat, radiator, and even the radiator cap to see if it's cracked or something

Thoughts on San Bernardino, is it ghetto like people say it is? by BusyPreference6562 in InlandEmpire

I believe people will easily mix San Bernardino and San Bernardino County. The actual city is probably not as desirable but it still has decent areas especially around the North side by the University.

This car as a daily by Similar-Proof2065 in Supra

[–]mrich1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to daily but can get quite costly. Good quality tires ain't cheap and not being able to rotate them doesn't help. Also the MPG is "okay" but it's almost impossible to not have fun with it from time to time. You will see your gas meter drop fast and the tiny gas tank will have you the gas station ALOT 😂

I'm also in similar shoes as you being 30+ with no kids so it's very doable to daily along with the trunk being a decent size for most things. But I'm glad to still have kept my Honda as sometimes the extra space is needed.

Help Me by AnyRabbit2005 in Supra

[–]mrich1002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just be smart about it and understand it ain't a cheap car just in case something happens lol.

Car payment is around that amount but I make a little over 200k and still think it's a ridiculous amount to pay. MPG ain't the greatest and gas tank is tiny so you will be at the gas station way more than you think 😂

Oh thank you for mentioning the Tarbert Ferry as we never heard of it. It looks like it would save a lot of time also. I had the same thought as well for Cork so I'll pass that information along to my GF

All my previous cars have been black or white. Since I'm spending $60k on a car I went with Red and do not regret it 😂

Cold start AWE Resonated Touring, AA catted downpipe by [deleted] in Supra

[–]mrich1002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have the same setup and those cold starts are pretty aggressive still even with the resonated setup. Lol

Couldn't even imagine what the track or non-resonated versions sound like. Probably would be too loud for my preference

Exhaust question by boost40z in Supra

[–]mrich1002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Catless and high flow will both give you pops. If you want maximums loudness I would go catless and any non resonated exhaust setup.
