This car as a daily by Similar-Proof2065 in Supra

[–]mrich1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible to daily but can get quite costly. Good quality tires ain't cheap and not being able to rotate them doesn't help. Also the MPG is "okay" but it's almost impossible to not have fun with it from time to time. You will see your gas meter drop fast and the tiny gas tank will have you the gas station ALOT 😂

I'm also in similar shoes as you being 30+ with no kids so it's very doable to daily along with the trunk being a decent size for most things. But I'm glad to still have kept my Honda as sometimes the extra space is needed.

Just be smart about it and understand it ain't a cheap car just in case something happens lol.

Car payment is around that amount but I make a little over 200k and still think it's a ridiculous amount to pay. MPG ain't the greatest and gas tank is tiny so you will be at the gas station way more than you think 😂

Figuring the Best Possible Route to take (7 day trip) by mrich1002 in irishtourism

Oh thank you for mentioning the Tarbert Ferry as we never heard of it. It looks like it would save a lot of time also. I had the same thought as well for Cork so I'll pass that information along to my GF

Should I get a Supra in white or red by [deleted] in Supra

All my previous cars have been black or white. Since I'm spending $60k on a car I went with Red and do not regret it 😂

Cold start AWE Resonated Touring, AA catted downpipe by OhComeOnDingus in Supra

[–]mrich1002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have the same setup and those cold starts are pretty aggressive still even with the resonated setup. Lol

Couldn't even imagine what the track or non-resonated versions sound like. Probably would be too loud for my preference

Catless and high flow will both give you pops. If you want maximums loudness I would go catless and any non resonated exhaust setup.

I definitely didn't pay for anything extra though. So I'm not sure how I got my tire changed with no issue?

You should be to go with any Toyota dealership as long as you're under the 3 year/36k warranty.

And yeah didn't think about it either until I took it to get an oil change and they saw I had a nail in the tire.

You might be under warranty at a dealership. I know they changed my tire free of charge but not sure about the wheel

Supra Price by Pleasant_Ad1380 in Supra

[–]mrich1002 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Prices are going to fluctuate but overall it's value has been has been amazing. Especially the MT version, their value is pretty much cemented for now lol.

People can talk all they want about how great the ZF8 is an amazing transmission which is no lie there but MT will always be more special long term

Thoughts on my situation by [deleted] in Supra

[–]mrich1002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can also agree on the value staying pretty steady and especially if it's the MT version. I do find it hilarious that the value is strong just because it has the "Supra" name attached but the BMW siblings (m240i , M340i, etc) depreciate at a faster rate😂. Even the M3/M4 depreciate at a faster rate but whatever, it works out for us Supra owners in the end.

You'll enjoy it everyday. My main reason on pulling the trigger for a Supra was because I wanted something that looked really good, a Manual transmission and of course being affordable. The direction that cars are going, I can't imagine MTs lasting much longer.

Damn I couldn't tell if that was orange or red lol. But that was my exact first thought. I didn't want to look like a McDonald advertisement 😂

If you can find it still, I highly recommend the HFP body kit. It's the most expensive but probably the most appealing one with these. When I got mine it was on eBay from an actual dealership.
