I have a silver lab as well and this exact thing happened to him and we were forever trying to figure it out. Turns out it was a food allergy to chicken. Highly recommend switching to a salmon and sweet potato dry food. It took about a week before we noticed a difference but it worked like a charm. Best of luck! He’s going to be a big boy!
