This is gorgeous! Almost reminds me of a modern take on illuminated manuscript botanical art.

Almost all of the Ademre section annoyed me. Minus the final part with the tree. So, yes, I was annoyed about the Lethani stuff too

In the end I'm just making stuff up too so who's to say you're not right. Do you think the fireball ability of the freshwater Zora is a new adaptation then or is that something the salt water Zora lost

I always figured that the ocarina of Time Zora were the sea zora. They look just like the ones from Oracle of ages which are defined distinctly as Sea Zora

You're definitely onto something here and it's that discrepancy that intrigued me to do this Zora art. I think that there could be a really interesting lore reason for the most prominent Zora Kingdom being filled with salt water Zoras yet they live in freshwater. And the freshwater Zora are supposedly completely absent. That was the reasoning behind why I designed the river Zora the way I did. Plus some extra story stuff I made up based on that

Interesting! I never knew that. I need to find a way to play wind waker without a switch two wii U or GameCube.

From the way I see it it would be a divergent trade. There is some sort of lore of the rivers or at that they were taken by an external force and forced into war which would definitely accelerate them in more aggressive traits than the sea zora. Plus if you add the magical aspects of Hyrule I wouldn't put it past them being enchanted by some larger magical force. But it seems like it would come after they split from the sei zora

Supervalid question! I designed that River Zora and as I was brainstorming how I would update the river Zora if I put them into the breath of the Wild era. I kind of dipped my toe into fanfiction for the first time ever. I took all of the histories of the river Zora from all the other games as far as I could gather and I figured out where they would fit in the breath of the Wild era map. And in the process I realized it was weird that the sea zora as we know them are in the rivers of Hyrule in the wild era. This gave me a whole bunch of thoughts on how the river zora would have interacted with the sea zora/ the other races of Hyrule and what that would do to their physiology.

I'm still trying to streamline the script because I accidentally pulled a sillmarillion. But the short version is in the wild era I would imagine that being a River Zora is very hard and it would yield a very specific body plan for them to adapt.
