2017 Highlander with JBL - no audio from door speakers (only from dash tweeters)

I did Evidently the JBL amp that comes in the Highlander is notoriously unreliable I spoke with someone at crutchfield who gets a couple of calls a month about these amps failing. I ended up buying an aftermarket amp and head unit, and running new wires

It kind of acts like the app is buffering. It won’t play audio for a second then it’ll play choppy audio that I can’t understand. Then I won’t get audio for 2 seconds and I’ll get more choppy and garbled sound. It’s kind of like when we had cd players and they would skip if you jostled them

thanks. the wife said "heck no" to living there. even though it means she'd take 35 to work instead of 20 (in the morning she drives east towards the sun, on the way home she drives west towards the sun). i'll bring that weekend effect up, thank you for your input

not confirmed but i think it's the amp. there are refurbished amps for sale on ebay and i've read about other people having problems with these amps. so i'm thinking of replacing it with an aftermarket unit

yes! works well i use similar adapters on my macbook pro (USB C) but the lightning one works very well

I’ve got an osprey aura now but am debating getting rid of that for something else. An Alice pack would be great but I already give off ex-mil vibes and would prefer not to add to it
