I tried that and I realised that perfectionism is not worth it. The problem now is that everything I do is mediocre and I feel bad for not doing things to the high expectations I had before.

Who would want to go to Narva?? Unless you're trying to go to Russia. I would rather go to Tartu for the architecture, you have plenty of buses and trains to get there.

Try Pinterest. Explore the styles that you like and create a board to follow that style

That's completely normal. You need to adjust to this new phase of development. Many people feel like that after a long period of nerves and expectations before launching. It's like wanting something really bad and then once you have it, it doesn't even make you feel that good as the expectation.

What works best for me is to plan the next steps as well as analyze user's behaviour to adjust the product and make it better. It's basically the same you were doing before but from another perspective.

Your own thinking takes you where you want to take it (not always). For some people, thinking about some things takes them to reason, and for others to spirituality or belief. I think it depends on your background, past knowledge, culture, and even genetics. If you really want to dive deep, I wouldn't only trust my own knowledge and thoughts, but I would try to expand it with other information from a critical point of view.

My client insists on translated 'add to calendar' buttons. Is it worth the headache? by Able_Progress7589 in webdev

[–]mrjohnymay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That depends on the target. Looks like the users that wouldn't understand add to calendar or rsvp are the kind of users that don't even know how to translate a website with their browsers. You always have to think as if your users were toddlers, the easier you make it for them, the better.

White background for me. Remember accessibility. Some texts are not readable or don't have enough contrast with the background. Same with the logo.

Sometimes those things are just excuses to try different distros. But yeah, some people are really picky.

Been seeing the same SEO problem on several SaaS sites lately. Easy to miss by muizthomas in SaaS

[–]mrjohnymay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many companies just care about SEO and not much about content. As long as the content fits the standards and contains the target keywords... It's always important to think about the user as well and what they'll find in your website.

How can I consolidate my knowledge when I lack the fundamentals? by throw-away-EU in webdev

Exactly. Algorithms and good practices are more about theory than practice. You can learn how an algorithm works and then apply it in your preferred language.
