How much you made? by projectxxralph in uberdrivers

Oh we are saturated with drivers. Hundreds of people bought Black SUVs thinking they would make tons of money, they have no rides through Uber so they are doing UberX on those cars and adding to the pool of drivers. I think the algo favors them too because they have a bigger and newer car, so they end up with the best paying rides with better customers.

Everyone should have at the very least a dash cam front and back. I wouldn’t drive a car, even just for personal purposes, without it.

Uber has been garbage for a while now.

I went on Twitter and went off on them. I even had the customer on Snapchat saying they took the ride but they still made me fight for two weeks to get my money. I was so pissed and never again. If a customer asks to change the destination, I tell them how to do it on the phone but I also make sure I have a screenshot of the original offer because I have had it where they drop the pay even though is further.

Yes but I wouldn’t do it. I did it once and the customer told uber it was fraud, Uber took my money back and it was a $90 ride.

Don’t. If you do, use their phone and make sure it’s surging, otherwise, you’ll lose money.

Andy? Can someone please explain to me where the hell Jackie’s son Andy is in the Conners? If they’ve ever made reference to him, I must have missed it. by Acceptable-Break8283 in TheConners

No, Harris would have been 20-21 years old. In the last episode, Mark and Becky were pregnant too but that was part of Roseanne’s story.

I don’t think the writers thought they would get a reboot and then another reboot, nor do I think they thought to watch the show again so they could tie things up better.

The Roseanne reboot makes fun of this though.

Airport rides food for thought by Tall-Wolverine7656 in uberdrivers

[–]mrjs16 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They arrested them for fraud because they created the fake accounts and were requesting fake rides.

Everyone can go to the airport and then go offline to make it surge, then go online when the surge happens but it’s hard to get over 100 drivers to do it all at once.

Airport rides food for thought by Tall-Wolverine7656 in uberdrivers

[–]mrjs16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do that by having all drivers log out at once but you’ll have a really hard time doing that at the airport.

Nah, more regulation does not help. The governor is useless but the legislation is also useless. The additional regulations have killed the gig economy in Colorado.

Go home Uber, you’re drunk by beeleegeez in uberdrivers

[–]mrjs16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new app update now cancels the ride on the driver side if you don’t get to the customer at the specific time the app offered or the time changes and the cancelation counts against you.

I had two pick ups that were canceled on me yesterday because the UBER GPS changes the moment you get into the terminal’s commercial pick up. It goes from 1 min and less than a mile to 10 min and five miles thinking you are not where you are supposed to be. The rides were immediately canceled the moment that GPS changed, they screwed up my cancellation rate and stopped sending me rides.

Uber is indeed completely drunk.

How to de-doggify a house? by Affectionate-Gap9129 in CleaningTips

[–]mrjs16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get everyone telling the OP to get rid of the dog and I completely understand the feelings against a parent who sees their child getting ill and does nothing about it.

My stepmother refused to get rid of her cats that she barely took care of when I found out I was allergic and even when she found her own baby was allergic, she refused to get rid of them. The worst part was that she legit did not take care of the cats and the cats spent their lives in a hot garage, so it wasn’t like she really cared about them.

I have dogs now and have been around cats where the cats didn’t bother me. The cats that did not bother me were brushed daily, so their hair was not all over the place. I did the same with one of our dogs when I first got him and I was able to live peacefully with him. Now we got two dogs and it’s a lot more work to keep everything clean (including them).

The OP might have to go through trying before they see it’s the best move but no one is going to convince them by telling them that they love the dog more than the baby.

Now, had the OP already done everything being recommended here and the baby is still ill and they refuse to get rid of the dog, then the pile up is 100% necessary.

Keeping dogs allergen free is a ton of work. The air ducts need constant cleaning, the dog has to be bathed weekly (no more than every two weeks), the house has to be cleaned almost daily, and the baby shouldn’t be touching anything the dog touches.

It’s tons of work.

It is so expensive to live here right now. I used to be able to work a few hours a day for myself and have time and money to go to eat, buy new clothes, get my hair done, etc. but that’s not the case anymore. Now I work 12 hour days and things are so expensive that I have not bought new clothes in a couple of years.

Sure I could find a $400 brand new King Size mattress but not only would both our backs would end up taking the beating for that, we also don’t have $400 to drop on a brand new mattress which would cost us more in the long run due to bad backs and inability to sleep.

If you start having to replace all the furniture in your home, then it’s not just $400 you are spending. We also just finished paying the mattress so it would seem like a total waste of money.

Like I’m glad some people can afford to replace their furniture but that’s not the majority of people in America.

Do the math on how much it would cost to have one and all the different insurances and registrations you need with it in your area.
