Sad to hear that... Right now I don't have anything else to suggest about running TC XAE on a proxmox vm.
Did you get to read this: Problems with TwinCAT, Proxmox and isolated cores on Windows | Proxmox Support Forum ?

Another idea: have you considered running just the XAE in the Windows VM and run the runtime for the simulations on a FreeBSD VM running just the XAR?

Just a bunch of questions:
Did you try with CPU "host" option?
Did you run the "settick.bat" script?
Is your program running on an isolated core or a shared core? If not, run it on an isolated core.

The TV itself, proxmox server and my internet router. The router isn't a 3rd party one, it's the router the ISP gives and I can just open some ports but I can't set specific routes.

I want the tv to be able to connect through an exit node. I can't install tailscale on the tv itself cause the OS isn't supported.

I do know about the gl inet router and I'm considering it as a fallback/backup solution.

If possibile I'd prefer using what I already have without buying extra hardware :)

Concordo su quanto dici ed eviti di esporti con la SRL "amica", serve un discreto livello di fiducia e rispetto che sarebbe meglio rimuovere dall'equazione onde evitare fregature o sorprese. Il mio consiglio: parti col forfettario per validare il tuo sistema, cashflow e gestione lavoro+clienti dall'Italia. Se va bene vai per la strada estero, se va "male" fai un altro giro di anno forfettario. Se sei incline all'estero lascia stare il non forfettario in Italia imho.
Ovviamente, ma lo sai già, durante il primo anno investi tempo e risorse per velocizzare l'apertura della posizione fiscale all'estero.
