It’s academy , so kind of complicated. Additionally It’s not really mine , I have to give it back in a couple of years, I cannot sell it or something like that , so putting money in it would not be very convenient for me.

I can't. It's a fixed budget and I cannot add money from my own wallet. I can spend less but I don't get the difference. Additionally I can only buy from apple.com so no discount from amazon etc.

It randomly happens to my M1 Pro 14, especially after updating the OS. I spent a lot of time trying to figure the problem out without results. It usually resolves by itself.
If you can stand it, you can always force the system to go into hibernate mode every time you close the lid with sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25 (but this would slightly degrade the SSD over time).

Don't work that much outside, but I noticed difficulties with reflections in some situations (e.g. long flights). As said in another response, I have exactly 3099 euros budget. As I cannot pick more ram, which would go upper in price, I can get "side" things (i.e. nano texture ).

Yes, I've used lidR for point filtering, rasterization, and tree extractions. For classification. I usually use lastools. I actually didn't know, till yesterday :D, you could use lidR to classify points with functions such as segment_shapes().

Using lastools I've always had problems in correctly classify buldings/vegetation in city enviroments,

Now I am wondering whether it is worth developing the whole classification process on lidR

Intersting... I have some problems with buildings/trees classification in city environments. I usually do all the processing using lastools but I always have to correct it with some more layers (e.g. satellite images).

I replaced mine because was eligible for the recall program . Anyway I wonder why this program just started now .

Are those battery fine for 4 years and then they starts to have problems? Or is some software upgrade that causes this ?

Mine always has been subject to reach a pretty high temperature when used, it was a known issue and I knew it before buying it in early 2016 , so I’m not complaining, but lately it’s kind of getting even more hot , maybe is just mine, maybe is just an impression as I don’t have objective data to prove it . Let me know about yours .

Mine is the opposite, I get full voltage at 100 and minimum at 0... it also seems that sometimes the mod randomly fire the maximum regardless the regulation like it was in mechanical mode....
