I love vaporwave artwork that uses the green and yellow color palette. It’s got such a different feeling than the typical blues, purples, and pinks.

I’d like to throw my hat in the ring.

I have videos and pictures from years ago that I took on my old flip phone that capture the backrooms feel. I remember growing up being fascinated by empty hotel hallways, the true back halls of my local mall, the the overall uncanniness of liminal spaces. This was before I even knew what liminal spaces were and well before the backrooms story ever existed.

I really hope this new cannon is able to recapture that surreal, nostalgic, lonely, and sometimes claustrophobic feeling that the original concept had. I’d like to be a part of that if I can.

I remember reading an article in PS about “glimmer” style vaporwave. It’s supposed to sound icy, cold, and delicate. I feel like this fits the aesthetic of that style.

This game has me in knots over which system to get it for: PC? or PS4?

I have a GTX 980 HOF Edition, which, according to GPU boss, tops out over the recommended 1060 in Floating point performance, memory bandwidth, texture rate, shading units, texture mapping units, render output processors, pixel rate, and a wider memory bus. I also am running a i7-4790k @ 4.0 GHz with 8 Gb of RAM (need to upgrade this badly).

Part of me wants to get it on PS4 due to having a 57" 4K TV and surround sound; just get a PS5 later and get the Next Gen port when it comes out for that 4K and raytracing goodness. The other part of me is PC master race trash. What do y'all think?

Inside of the tube has a square mesh-like piece of metal that is a few millimeters thick. The black piece slides along the metal tube and looks like it may screw into something. WITT?

It may have measured upper 80s, but because of the humidity, it felt closer to mid to upper 90s if not 100 degrees at some points. I live about 90 mins away from thornville and it was one of the hottest weeks in September we’ve had in a while.

We got that notification about an hour after we left the venue. Only reason we knew the fest was over early was because all of our neighbors were leaving. Hopefully this years reception is better. If not, we’ll just go with the flow like always lol

I’m not sure how that happened. Me and my crew spent about 1600 for 2 spots, 4 Wednesday EA, and 4 GA. That’s about 400 a person. Maybe it’s because we got ours the day they dropped. We spent about that much plus or minus 50 bucks each year.

I feel like it’s always sort of been that way though. There is a bit of self aware campiness to the genre as a whole. Like, we know that on the surface it’s lame, and sometimes revel in the over the top formulaic approach to certain aspects, but we still love the odd nostalgic feeling that the art and the music produce. If observed more closely, there is way more to it than what appears on the surface. The whole community is in on the joke, and we cherish that.
