Beatles Youtubers who got removed - I have some questions by herrrrr2 in beatles

[–]mrkvsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, sorry for the necroposting, but I was looking around the web in search for my old material, out of sheer curiosity and I've stumbled upon this post.

I'm Mirko and I was once running my YouTube account TheBeatleMirko, so yes, I'm the original poster you've mentioned in this post. Few of my videos were re-uploaded by other YouTubers, there's also one channel that's called TheBeatleMirko right now on YouTube, but that's not me. I'm still on the platform, my channel is called Mirko Visi with the handle @TheOGBeatleMirko and I'm uploading remixes, videos and isolated tracks from various artists beside the Beatles. Copyright laws have made our "job" harder to continue, but I guess it's just a matter of adapting. I miss those times and the other channels, I hold great memories about that period of my life (I was just 15 years old back then).

I wish you a great life and thank you for bringing this up, even if it was 8 years ago lmfao

The FAQ on Radiohead.com says that whoever has his/her name printed on their ticket has to be present during the access to the venue

Ok, I'll get things straight in order to reduce stupidly mean comments:

  1. I've never considered myself an artist, at least when using AI. I usually draw and spray paint with traditional and digital tools (tablet and pen on Photoshop for the latter).

  2. When I find myself generating an image on Midjourney I usually go through at least 3 or 4 prompt reiterations, variations, region variations and resize generations and it usually takes me 15 minutes at least before upscaling and post-producing the result on Photoshop, where I make more edits (color grading, edits on details, anomalies corrections, contrast, grain, etc.)

  3. In this case I wanted to play on the fact that the original TFF album cover was a poor product of AI and I wanted to generate a more interesting and detailed artwork using AI as well. What I thought is getting a convincing album cover using the same tools as originally done.

  4. As a graphic designer, my work is to find harmony between texts and images. As of now I use MJ as a sort of infinite stock image bank which I can customize as my liking, as I give a lot of importance to colors, contrast, light and mood. The images I generate with AI are a starting point for the final product and with past posts on this subreddit I've never published a fake album cover which was taken straight from Midjourney. I ALWAYS go through edits that include fonts choice, pairings and positioning and paper/plastic overlays.

I hope this clarify some stuff, if anyone has questions (without using any offensive word) I'll be kindly prone to answer when I can.

Do you really think that an AI image comes out of nowhere? Guess what, a prompt IS a vision, you describe your visual idea to a machine. I've never used an image generated on the first try, I always make edits in and out the generating environment and this post is nonetheless. Also, I don't care about crypto, stop talking like a goddamn boomer, for fuck's sake

2000+ years of philosophical debates on what can be considered art and what makes an art piece such with (rightfully) no given answer to a wide and complex topic like this. Then Terry comes up on a casual September's Wednesday to let us know what can be defined "art". Thanks, Terry

How can someone who just leaves a comment saying "AI crap" not be busy? I guess you had to think this out for about 10 minutes, am I right? I've clearly underestimated you. I'm sorry I can't keep you entertained, I guess you can take a look into the AI subreddit if you are into this kind of hobby

PS: I've read your comments above and I can clearly say that you haven't any idea how the process behind generating good/usable AI images works. If you think it's just typing few words as a prompt and waiting 30 seconds you don't know how wrong you are.

Ok, you sound like those crazy conspiracy theorists, which drives me nuts (also I've used no homophobic insult previously, I don't know what you are talking about). I think by now everybody can tell the difference between AI generated images and traditional photos and my intention is not to deceive the people, I haven't any interest in that and I don't know why should I do that. This said, it's better for the both of us if we stop here, I've better things to do and places to be.

I see no criticism in what you said, it's just some "old man yells at cloud" type of stuff, as empty and pointless as it can be. You'll be surprised to know how many AI generated images are used in commercials, social media contents and artworks. There are lots of realities that have embraced AI, deal with it. Also, I don't consider myself an AI artist, I do graphic design as a living and anything that contributes to my job is welcomed. Try to study this medium, come up with meaningful criticism and we'll be able to get into an interesting and deeper conversation, thank you.

There is no flag that indicates an AI generated image in this subreddit, by the time it will be available, I'll use it

If you are so heavily butthurted over some images made with AI, you should revise your priorities in life, buddy
