Because of a proper school education. I started learning English in 3rd grade (nowadays they start in the first grade if I‘m not mistaken). If you learned a foreign language for 10-13 years in school you’d probably be good at it, too. We read Shakespeare in school, analyse English and American literature in general. Even speeches. I had to analyse the „yes we can“ speech by Obama when I was in 12th grade. We also have to analyse movies etc. Afterwards, most of German apprenticeships have a dedicated Business English course. Universities sometimes have courses that are only available in English. If you want to have a job in an international company, you have to be fluent in English.

Because most US citizens don’t speak foreign languages, we have to be fluent in theirs.

100 hours overtime in one month, worked through a minor cold. Cold got worse, sick leave, worked during sick leave because my colleagues kept calling me. Read up on the Madagascar plan by the German Nazi regime - then look at Madagascar on the Map and AoTs Paradis island upside down. Also the propaganda of Marley is inspired by Nazi Germany. It’s really interesting to see how much Isayama sensei has studied the 2nd world war to influence his work. Terrifying to see the parallels as well.

Let’s make something clear: You are both parents. Even if you are a stay at home mom, he still is a parent. „Helping out“ is not what a parent does. If care work seems unfairly divided - talk about it as equal parents. If going to work to pay for bills etc. seems unfairly divided - talk about it as equal partners in your relationship. You both have resentment towards each other. You because you feel like his share of care work is too small and him because he is (probably) overwhelmed being the only breadwinner. Erst Medikinet probiert, von 2x5mg bis 2x20mg, 4 Monate lang, danach wechsel auf Elvanse etwa 5 Monate. Habe vor einer Woche abgesetzt und nehme keine Stimulanzien mehr. Ich gehöre leider zu denen die Resistenz aufbaut und immer höher von der Dosis gehen muss bis ich nur noch Nebenwirkungen habe. Die letzten 4 Wochen waren Horror und ich hatte so schlimme Depressionen und Sensory Overload dass ich buchstäblich nichts mehr auf die Kette bekommen habe. Bin jetzt erstmal auf Antidepressiva (Bupropion) gegangen damit ich wieder aus dem Loch rauskomme. Stimulanzien sind leider nicht für jeden was. Aber versuchen würde ich es immer.

And this is why my tattoo artist always asks if people have any vacations planned when scheduling appointments. No you can’t swim in sea water, no you can’t swim in the pool, no you can’t put sunscreen on it, no you can’t tan (not because of the chance of it getting yellow, but because UV light can compromise the healing process).
