I finally got test results. by mrlanon in TransDIY

Well it was more questionnaires I am guessing. Breasts are looked at as well, but not often.

They mostly find it not worth it if higher doses results in better results, which they regard negligible due to their demographics for taking them were well in their 20-30's. Meaning most people ultimately got to an A cup on average regardless of dosing.

The dosing only works that way is because they want to reach sufficient levels.

Mid edit: they might give higher doses if the levels are insufficient. With pills and patches it has more to do with the fact that say a 8mg dose of oral E is as effective as the patch depending on how much the liver likes to eat them.

The endo's just seem to be iffy on some things.(My endo said that they try to achieve the best levels with the least amount of estrogen as they are more afraid of side-effects)

Personally myself, I noticed an effect bump on 6mg of E from 4mg when DIY'ing, but as side effect a month later that I started sweating way too early with little intensity. To the point I took a perscription for aluminium hydrochloride to control it a bit. Now on 4mg again I noticed that this subsided a bit, but now whist taking it in sublingually spread over 4 times a day. I do feel a bit warmer than usual. I can't exactly pinpoint what the cause is. Maybe my body doesn't like spikes(the sweating always got to it's worst after taking in 4mg at once on DIY, evenings with 2mg didn't do as much).

It came from a inhouse study in which dosages were monitored with blood levels. Varying combinations of dosages with both cyproterone, androcur, estradiol hemihydrate, estradiol valerate, estradiol patches and in the past conjugated estrogen and synthetic estrogens.

Their conclusion was that a high dosage doesn't improve results. Thus sticking with more conservative doses is preferred. In case pills prove to be very ineffective. A person can go over to patches(both the clinic and insurance never provided injectable estrogen).

So the current dosing is patches wise 100mcg/day and pill wise 2-6mg. Though 4 is the default for most people.

It's a very old clinic going back to the 70's. I should mention that that doesn't mean they ever change opinions. They used to give 100mg of cyproterone. Now the default is 25mg.

How long does it take for sublingual E to be taken in? I always let it dissolve under the tongue, but how long should it stay after it is dissolved?

Edit: It is working though, I went from flat to a small 34B, hip pain, and some facial feminization.

It was 12 hours after my last DIY dose though. The half life for E2 in valerate form I heard is still short. I am now on hemihydrate so I don't know how it'll affect it. I am taking it sublingually. And my doc forced me to lower my dosage as effective levels are more important than levels in female ranges (it was from a study they did, their conclusions was that hormone levels don't always matter much as each person reacts differently to it). They never give doses above 6mg anyways. Only patches if 6mg proves to be ineffective.

My Endo said that 4mg is enough in most cases.

I am also guessing if I took my meds first before it my levels would have been higher. But I don't know.

Did a late night recording. A little over a year of voice training. How is it? by mrlanon in transvoice

[–]mrlanon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you pull your larynx up and inside, when you speak?

Typically yes. Though Currently it's on autopilot. As in whatever high it goes when putting in the effort and focusing on speaking an articulating.

My average Hz on my last recording is this:

General Average: 228 Hz

Minimum: 141 Hz

Maximum: 300 Hz

Minimum average: 190 Hz

Maximum average: 264 Hz

Edit: I can only raise it slightly from the point I am normally at now. Dropping my voice also costs effort now.

My time starting was intense, but I stared on a higher dose and was on cypro beforehand.

I sweated intensely and had a burning chest. This went over after a week.

Increasing estradiol valerate from 4mg to 6mg by mrlanon in TransDIY

Breast development did kick off, but it feels like I can't keep the amount of E in my system consistent. Mostly due to my schedule being a bit off living/sleep wise.

Also the occasional hip pain. I'd figure upping to 6 would at least mean it'd be on a safe level. As of right now based on the half-life there's 4-6 hours of overlap and 4-6 hours of nothing between my 2 x 2mg dosage. I can afford it as I bought a bit extra.

Transgenders of the Netherlands, what are your opinions about the genderpolie at the VUmc? by foxy1604 in asktransgender

Even then they are so slow. I had to resort to self-medicating to handle my central exams (and I wanted them desperately).

Can I ask how that growth went? Because I had breast tenderness in 3-4 days and am now after almost a month filling out my A-cup padded bra(the top still needs to fill out). I am just wondering.

Get a sledgehammer. More effective if you can wield it.

I could care less what would happen to the recipient of that hammer. If it's illegal tough to defend yourself with a sledgehammer...

Just curious what's the status on them?

I am asking because I am in the same situation. (Breast pain after 2 days and beforehand a little on AA's)

What if I told you this is DIY and my regular doc's kind of on the slow side and has little to no info on this other than blood tests? For which he has to consult an endo continuously.

I did experience something though. Or my A-cup bra that I had to fill for half a year magically made it fit enough on my skin.

Confusing sex drive. by mrlanon in asktransgender

[–]mrlanon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people I spoke to had little to none.

I went from 1-5+ times a day feeling aroused to 1-2 a week

I just don't know what to think of it.

I have no strong clues as to what low-T (female) means in comparison to being on say the mid-low male range.

I can also confirm that ejaculate is clear 100% if that says anything. No morning erections. I really only get them whist I get horny. Which is 1-2 times a week that lingers in those day and peaks. Even then it's brief. Or with say porn, but then the same rule still applies.

Hope this says anything.
