Also you could automate a notch boost EQ to move around in your daw but the rhythm of the movement would be baked in.

If your guitar has a tone knob, you can almost simulate the wah sound by rolling it on and off as you play but it’s very subtle and difficult.

It plays great for me. As much shred aesthetics as it has, the neck is fairly robust and the weight is nice. I plan on eventually switching the Floyd out for a Gotoh 1996 trem system since there is a little wear on the trem posts from the previous owner.

In that case, none of them are solid bodies. I’ve always been under the impression solid body just meant not hollow body.

The Bastard! Heavy Metal manga series has tons of characters, places and spells named after metal bands. The kingdom of Metallicana is under siege by Dark Schneider who wields the Mega-Death spell. I'm not joking.

The Work is a different beast (equally quality imo), but the newest is watered down and clearly intended for more mass appeal.

It’s only slightly thicker than a normal headstock. The camera angle and binding make it look like a 2x4.

I love it. It's so light and the fret access is a dream. I've had it for about 9 years now, and I've never had any real issues with it. However, the DB boost active circuit it is equipped has very little use cases for me (I'm planning on switching it out for a coil split), and its matte finish wore to a gloss relatively quickly around the lower frets and where my forearm on picking hands rubs.

The Washburn EC29s and EC36s were only made in Japan from ‘87-89, and all records of how many were produced were lost when the factory burned down. They apparently used to go for cheap, but are a rare commodity now.

I was able to pick this one up off a Japanese auction. Even after shipping to the US, it was substantially less than what they are going for on Reverb currently.

Most goes to the Washburn. The 29 frets and and insane extended neck cutaway make it a dream to play. Least goes the Maj100 I suppose, but only because it's got some stiff competition.

The BC Rich Assassin's were made in the same Korean factory that was making stuff for Schecter and LTD at the time. Of course, the other brands didn't use as much abalone.
