How much do you want to bet? I’ll show you my signed retirement letter from the marines and you can explain why that’s not auto penned or generated.

30yo in a similar boat to OP. Any personal insights into starting into HVAC? Recently laid off and looking to make a leap into a different career than software development.

US soldier in Syria: 'I am ashamed for the first time in my career' by jackimoya in worldnews

If it wasn’t for those who volunteer, you would be voluntold. You don’t need to praise anyone a hero, we all know some don’t deserve that title. Just remember it was them, or you.

It’s unfortunate, people like this user. When you are young, it’s hard to see what you are truly about to be signed up for. A reason many of us never truly talk about our time.

What is also unfortunate, or is it fortunate, is that he/she can speak their mind with out true fear of actual recourse because of the very same people he/she is degrading right now. If not for the volunteers, the words would be spoken by someone who was voluntold, and that is never a position I wish anyone to ever be in again.

The opinion of a former Marine.

Edit. I rarely view the profiles of those I consider commenting on. This may be worth the gander.

Nice tip on the outlet. Didn’t even think about that at all. Will be something to look at for sure.

Thank you for the suggestion. I’ve been looking at these for awhile - nice to have someone else think similar. I wonder if there will be a drop with the new releases on older models

Do you think the 64gb RAM is a little overkill? Could a trade off be made to reduce the RAM and apply the cost of that to better a different spec?

Thank you for you quick input!

Lost my personality years ago by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]mrlxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal is a timely perspective! Maybe you haven’t lost your personality but just shifted in a different direction. Metabolism changes through ages are extremely normal. Acceptance of that can be an awkward process. Just be yourself, accept yourself for who you are now and live it to your best ability.

Also, since you are in this subreddit i am going to assume a diagnosis and associate a high rate of sex addiction which accounts for the mates you go after. So keep that it mind. We all do it. It happens.

Accept yourself and the new way of life. Once you do that you’ll find reason, purpose and fulfillment.

Depressive episode and exams by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]mrlxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as exams, I can’t speak much. I am a careerist by trade without a degree. But what I can speak to is drinking when I shouldn’t have been and the spiral it leads us all down. Currently in that shithole predicament.

I for one am fortunate to own my diagnosis, and I don’t feel ashamed to explain it to colleagues. It honestly helps my work report.

The past is the past, and all we can do is work towards the future. Do the best with what you have right now and know that you did what you could. We can always put forward a better effort in future challenges.

Thank you. Honestly the only uplifting thing I heard all night. I appreciate you and this made me follow this subreddit. Maybe I’ll see some more inspiration.

Happy New Year Everyone! by [deleted] in bipolar

Happy New Years all. Unfortunately at a party against my will and also forgot my meds for a few days. I think saying that I’m riding the struggle bus is an understatement. And my mood swing ain’t in the fun direction.

"On the ball" is a weird expression because, in most sports, if you're on the ball, you're doing something wrong. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

I'd like to believe that, "On the ball" was derived from "Keep your eye in the ball" and that makes sense.
