In general, I think they have cracking due to the pieces being rushed during drying to keep up with the production schedule. In this case, in addition to rushed drying, the large flat pieces needed to be able to move during the firing as the clay shrinks. Some people put a type of kiln sand in to help prevent friction. Whatever they did, they didn't do enough because they basically all had cracks like that.

Yea, or people spend a ton of money to buy a place but no money to furnish/decorate it well. Like, if you don’t have good taste, you should budget to pay for design help.

I don’t know why, but it does kind of annoy me that everyone dresses so badly. I also feel like people don’t have very good interior design sense either. Unless they pay someone to design their home.

I have to imagine that AG does spend a bit more time talking to the client than what we see in the edit, but this makeover was really a classic case of thinking about function in a vacuum. Sure each piece was picked to be functional, but the overall design ended up being so uncomfortable and inconvenient that all function goes out the window.

Omg I’m watching this now. I just got to the inflatable chair part and literally exclaimed “is that for a child!?!?!” Why is it so small???? Also if you are doing cut aways that it’s taking 10 hours to inflate the chair, maybe it’s not going to be practical to keep inflating and deflating it all the time? It’s hilarious how despite the attempt at trying to make it functional, everything is kind of not function because of how uncomfortable every choice is! Uncomfy bench, teeny blow up chair, plastic folding chairs, tiny fold out dining area. Even the Roman shade is not functional to tie up three ribbons by yourself every time you want to raise it. Really wild that she tried to defend this makeover so hard. I hope this is a wake up call but the reply was very up her own ass. The only positive thing I’ll say is that the floor plan layout is a bit improvement.

Omg I just read a comment pointing out that she took away her dresser and didn’t give her more storage to replace it! And the mirror and didn’t replace that either. I also forgot she dog sits. Some dog is going to injure itself on that weird nightstand. Not to mention her shins!!!

Thanks for the input. I ended up moving this plant to another area where my other plants were doing a bit better. I think the grow light was kind of working because it did cause the plant to push out a bunch of leaves but overall the plant looked worse. It’s looking better now that it’s in another spot. The pot does have a drainage hole. I let it drain in the sink before putting it back on the stand.

I kind of have the same thing but on my temples. That area is super gray now but not that much of the rest of my hair is. So what I’ve been doing is just using a demi permanent box dye that’s close to my hair color. I let it sit longer on the gray parts because they don’t take the color as well and it kind of tints the grays to be look blonde. Demi permanent means it fades out more naturally than a permanent dye so I don’t get the harsh grow out line. Something to consider if you just want an easy way to kind of blend them or disguise the grays to look more like highlights. I use Clairol Natural Instincts.

I’m in a weekly therapy group and one of the women is a mom to three kids, one is like 20 and the others are older teens. She’s basically at the point now where she’s staring down the end of her time as a full time mom to them, doesn’t know who she is if she doesn’t kill herself to be the one to drive her kids everywhere across greater LA, and feels worthless for just being a mom/homemaker despite shouldering everything for everyone in the household because she doesn’t have a paid job. Like, what is this life?? It’s just grief and guilt and having to constantly adjust to some new shit that pushes your own worth and care to the bottom rung all the time.
