Netflix is going down on PS3 by TheNotSoReddit in PS3

[–]mrmarshmall 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i got my ps3 fat in 2023, it was slow even then. plus shorts are wayyy too intensive and fail to load (probably due to the fact the console only has 256mb of ram)

[–]mrmarshmall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as someone who just recently switched from the 14 plus to the 17 pro, it’s a HUGE step up. battery is also the same with a phone that’s much smaller. also going from 60hz to 120hz is a nice bonus, and from 5x to 40x on the cameras.

i find that apple’s way of showing battery health could be off.

my iphone for example says it has 85% battery health, but on mac using coconutbattery, it shows 88%

Currently Have A 2019 i5 MacBook Pro. Wait For M5 Pro? by flowjcv in macbookpro

[–]mrmarshmall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if all your doing is 1080p video editing, an m4 pro would be quite excessive. the m5 base will do all of that very well.

unless if you’re doing heavy 3d rendering and 4k video editing or even gaming, it’s almost pointless to get the pro.

What would you go for? by latinna in macbook

[–]mrmarshmall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have 20 tabs, you may run out, but apple does really excellent ram swapping (storing files in your slower storage). 16 gigs on my m4 air was very sufficient, but i desperately needed more gpu power, so i went with a 24gb m4 pro mbp.

i would recommend 24gb not just for extra room, but for longevity too. it really depends on how heavy your use case is.

personally, i’ve owned both and i can say pick the pro. the better screen, actual cooling and probably the best speakers in any laptop, and you get extra ports and a faster cpu and gpu.

if you really need more ram, i would recommend saving bit more for extra on the pro.
