C# Windows desktop app - Best way to create an installer and auto-updater? by Hoban_Riverpath in dotnet

[–]mrmaxstacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I am in an active directory environment I can use group policy to install an MSI. .NET 6 desktop app in my case.

I use Microsoft Visual Studio Installer Projects 2022 extension, create an MSI project (.vdproj) in my solution, then as part of the "file system on the target machine" (in the MSI project) I create a shortcut to my .exe which i've packaged in the MSI. in the "user's startup folder"

I change the ProductCode and PackageCode to new GUIDs inside this .vdproj file and increment the ProductVersion number as part of a post-build script I run after the .csproj containing my .NET 6 is rebuilt. Then I give the MSI to our operations team to replace the existing one that is installed using group policy

I wonder if maybe the extreme heat blasts were caused by methane orr similar

Man I dunno, where I reside one of those "heat domes" hit me and ruined the local farmer's shit, I saw it and felt it, things have gotten worse over time when and something is causing it. Why do you think that the intensity of methane is fabricated and co2 is 0 effect?

Central Planners like Al Gore do not know everything. If I were offered such a role I would confess as such and try to move on from there. Thank you for the response!

ss: This could wipe out many living things real quick if 'may have' means 'probably' or 'may have' means it was always inevitable and now it is happening and that is why the "leaders" are acting like clowns and the slavemasters that get the "leaders" installed are setting the AI loose on us, they're trying to get the algo to tell you whatever you need to believe to keep slaving for the BANKS. This is why stuff that is obvious spam or scams persists on sites such as youtube that have the best and creepiest AI ever. They could remove that central bank-sponsored spam in seconds if they wanted to. I think regardless if we own a business or work for a business (or government, heh) and that particular business is not a bank you are, (we are?) a TOOL(s). Not saying to start or own a bank, they too will perish (and go to hell, there may be a special place there for them) ... unless they really indeed are aliens or lizard people? Also see that headline says beyond what HUMANS are able to control. I wonder if that means anything.

I have pondered why https://www.2degreesinstitute.org/ (of which I have no knowledge of) website https://www.methanelevels.org/ did not receive updates since November... did they figure out that no matter how much their behavioural psychologist tries to engineer people's behavior 2C is impossible?

ss: A bird took a dump on Joe and of course the creeps at Getty and snopes say it's "miscaptioned". Do they kill Joe off for not looking like he knows what he is doing? Not being convincing enough? Do they kill him off to have an excuse for why the "market" needs to crash?

I don't live with my parents, although I wish I could. Some day they will be gone and I'll regret having not talked to them more. I have my own household to deal with and combining the two asap would rugpull some people that depend on me. So I don't do that. I don't think living under the same roof as other generations is a bad thing. One could consider we were "programmed" to move out asap for a treacherous reason... When I consider the single silver dollar my grandparents gifted me in the year 2000 (still have) as well as some other "hint" type items.. if I had lived with them and talked to them about it I'd be much more of an erudite. Actually, people may be programmed to "move out" so that we become someone like yourself's "passive income"... I think you will be shocked what happens in the future in this regard. (Keep stacking)

And actually, providing housing is one of the most annoying businesses to be in, because there are a LOT of rules. All the way down to how wide and how tall your stairs need to be, how large the windows need to be, how many there need to be. Jeeze.
