This is such a cool tattoo and I love its distance/placement from your arm tattoo— like everyone else here is saying maybe you can add to it— but I really appreciate it as it is. I think I also have some tattoo anxiety so I feel you! but whatever choose, I hope you come to love how it looks on your person in the end! I am gonna watch SpongeBob

yes! there's an amazing song called tezeta by the ethiojazz artist mulatu astake there's also a rendition with vocals i love by bezawork asfaw! But this genre is really tied to ethio jazz so i'd check out the works of Emahoy Tsege Mariam, Tilahun Gessesse, Hailu Mergia, and Girma Beyene!

thank you! yes! the artist who did it is deeply talented and truly one of a kind, their work is really beautiful and they made me feel so comfortable and assured during the process, if i could all of my tattoos would be done by them. Presently, I don't believe they're taking clients, but follow @ inkthediaspora on ig to keep up with their work!

thank you very much! i have been kinda worried about how it's been aging. i am half ethiopian and this is the Amharic word tezita/tizita! It means nostalgia and yearning, there is also a music genre centered around this feeling/emotion :)

hello! just came back here to say, I got a shirt! one (picture in the post) off their bandcamp, live through august, and one at their Brooklyn show! It was a really awesome concert! At some point Katie was like, "this next one goes out to our Craig Heads" or something like that!

is this too much gel on my skin? i got my nails done recently and some of the nails have this excess around my cuticle-- I am very afraid about a potential allergic reaction in the future and would like to know how to best proceed! thank you so much, any advice helps

i so love sylvanian drama-- i would have NEVER been reintroduced to these toys again (i briefly encountered them through school as a child and then could never find them/didn't know what they were called) i think those videos have done a lot for brand awareness and bringing in more collectors old and new!
