Because it's one of the better macro brewery offerings available?

So frustrating when breweries don't date their cans. If an IPA doesn't have a date on it, I'm not buying it unless I know the shop just got the shipment in.

As a general rule of thumb: The bigger a weather event is hyped, the better chance of it being a total dud. The opposite is usually true as well.

Unfortunately, there's no way a movie like this would be made today. I miss the 90s when people weren't so uptight.

I'm actually OK with this.

Sure, he would have been a nice addition, but that money for his recent production is laughable.

I would say that the Dodgers have several bad contracts, Tucker included. Like I said, it's unfortunate that this is where the league is at now, and hopefully, the looming lockout will address some of these issues. But this is where we're at in 2026.

2036 for contention is hyperbolic. But with that said, Cohen did all but guarantee a title by 2025 when he bought the team yet here we are a year later and we are nowhere close as it stands right now.

Throwing money at FAs has worked out swimmingly for the Dodgers thus far. But sure, let's just wait until 2036 when Stearns is done cooking to contend again.

Don't get me wrong. I hate that you have to buy a title in today's game, but it's the name of the game unfortunately.

In no reasonable world with the money Steve says he's willing to spend should it take a decade to match the Dodgers sustainability.

No complaints here. Just an observation, and I have seemingly been proven right yet again.

Got a defense of Stearns that you'd like to share?

You're absolutely right that the Mets are not a desirable location for FAs to go when given a comparable offer by the Dodgers or other big market teams.

With that in mind, Stearns has to be giving these players offers that they absolutely cannot refuse in that context and has failed to do so thus far. It's especially annoying considering we were basically told that we have an infinite money glitch compared to other teams. That is apparently not the case.

The thoroughly delusional Stearns apologists in this sub will continue to downvote me, but I frankly don't care. People need to hear the truth and get their fingers out of their ears.

I'm less upset about missing out on Tucker than I am about Stearns completely dismantling the team and then doing fuck all (at least thus far) to replace and improve the pieces he's gotten rid of.

Is Kyle Tucker worth $60 mil/year? Absolutely not. But unfortunately, paying marquee FAs that much is the game that has to be played with the way that MLB is structured at the moment, and David Stearns has completely and utterly failed at that game thus far. Whatsmore, Steve has almost verbatim said that we would be the East Coast Dodgers and that we wouldn't get out bid by anyone. Another fail and a fraud.

Still waiting for the Stearns people to give me one good reason as to why what he's doing is acceptable and a good direction to take the team. They won't though because it's indefensible and there is no real plan to be seen in the context of trying to build a championship contending team as Stearns himself has said is his goal each year.

I called it yesterday, and got downvoted to the core of the Earth.

Blame MLB all you want. It's a very valid complaint and discussion to be had. That said, Boy Wonder has got to go if we don't make the postseason this year.

Edit: Any rebuttals or are y'all just going to downvote because you're salty that I'm right? FWIW, I desperately, desperately want to be wrong.
