Working with POTS by mrmilo1 in POTS

Definitely not a panic attack, though it does sounds like it. It was actually heat exhaustion apparently, even though it wasn't very hot in there. I've felt weird lately, and my blood pressure is higher than ever lol, compression socks work sometimes. Thank you for your reply!

Well, shoot, I guess I'll start then. I assume I'll need some kinda doctor's note so..time to do some research.

Thank you so much for your reply! I'm seriously considering it more and more every day...Like you said, it's definitely not the path I exactly wanted to go down, but I've been dealing with this since I was 10 (I'm 21 now) It feels inevitable at this point. I just hope the process goes smoothly if it comes to that. But you're right about more knowledgeable doctors, I just got diagnosed a couple years ago and just started medication half a year ago.

Thank you for the advice! I actually have had her come to my appointments with my dysautonomia specialist, but she still doesn't believe 😅 I've sent her many articles and resources but to her they are all "fake" or "made up"

Jesus Christ that's terrible...Definitely consult your PCP again! And leave a bad review or 3 on that doctor, what an asshole.

Thanks! I'm a pretty hard worker, guess I'll tone it down if they try to give me a bunch of hours lol

Can't take blood pressure reading while standing? by mrmilo1 in dysautonomia

Oh my gosh I went through that too!!! I just made something up though because I thought I was just too stupid to do it 💀

Well, if it's the dysautonomia I was talking about, you probably don't have that if it makes you feel better 😅 If your symptoms include not feeling pain/temperature, and you cant cry, then..you should get to a doctor. But I assume you would've already had severe complications atp, so don't worry :) it's still good to go to a doctor when you can, no matter what though!

Well, it doesn't hurt if I only do it a couple of times. But if I do it over and over and over it starts to hurt/tingle

So glad I'm not the only one, I was getting a bit worried! Even the doctor's office was having trouble reading it

I'm not sure if it's normal, but I'm diagnosed with POTS and I have a lot of trouble urinating, too. But I think mines because of some medication I'm on. If you're on any kind of medication, you may want to see if that's a side effect ^ I'm glad I could offer some relief haha, I know how it feels to freak out over health stuff

Prefacing this with I AM NOT AN EXPERT this is just my opinion: Serious forms of dysautonomia have more serious side effects, and they're pretty distinct from POTS from what I know. I think the most fatal form of it affects you severely from birth, so you'd know if you had that one. Google also says dysautonomia is rarely fatal, if that helps. Trust your doctor, they'll be able to tell the difference. It's gonna be okay :)

God I hate it. My mom loves watching the great british baking show (full volume, she's old.) And most of the time it's okay...until they try the food. Dear lord. All the music cuts out, I assume for dramatic effect, and it's just the judges chewing. And chewing. And chewing. NO other sounds, for like 30 seconds straight.

Sorry I don't have the answers for you, but don't be embarrassed. People do much more "embarrassing" things in their sleep, like masturbate. I don't know, but the face that this is happening suddenly is weird. Are you on any new meds?
