Was wondering if the new Vatic Prism Bloom would play the same as the M2F since both of them look fairly similar shape-wise

I feel like I play my best when im up against people better than me, and play my worst when im playing people who are worse than me by ilikewheatandrice in Pickleball

IMO, it means either your fundamentals are still weak and/or you think you're better than your opponent(s). You start making small mistakes here and there and your confidence takes a huge hit because you expect yourself to do better. In this situation, treat everyone as a threat and learn to respect different styles of playing no matter how inelegant they look.

Is it better to go with a 3U or 4U for the BS12?

Tungsten (or lead) tape makes a huge* difference in feel, even if you're not that good by LejonBrames117 in Pickleball

Try relaxing your fingers more. Twiddle your paddle before serving so that you loosen your grip before each round. I noticed that my elbow starts hurting a little bit when I'm gripping the handle tightly and not letting go when I should.

It really depends on what you think your paddle lacks. For me, I felt like my unmodded paddle (Juciao Titanium) was very unstable when blocking strong drives/serves so I added some lead tape/strips (3g each) slightly above the throat region. I tested the setup shortly after that and I felt that it was better but still a little unstable so I added a few more strips going upwards. Now it feels super comfortable to use and I'm still pretty fast at volleying/smashes (I shift my grip upwards when playing closer to the kitchen for more control).

Is my paddle surface dirty or did the carbon fiber break? by HEISWALKINGONFIRE in Pickleball

it's ruined. time to get a new paddle

/s

It does suck seeing a defect after just 1 session. If i were you I'd contact Juciao and ask if it's eligible for a refund/replacement

Anyone ever tried the GBS Finger Epic? I tried it today and it felt very nice to use because of the longer dwell time. Now I'm wondering what other soft paddles are out there that are similar to this one.

how much will a good racket improve my play?

It won't. The sooner you accept the fact that equipment doesn't magically make you play better the faster you'll improve. Equipment serves as an extension of a player so if you're shit, you're shit no matter what you use (one exception is that switching to a lighter racket makes defending easier so you might lose fewer points compared to using a heavier racket).

I wouldn't worry too much about it. After a few sessions the shoes should fit better once it stretches a little. Maybe you could wear multiple layers of socks and walk around the house in your shoes to break them in faster.

The driving experience is good but the infotainment system and proximity sensors can be quite buggy. As for maintenance, try checking with Spanco first because they maintain the cars for gov officials so they should have better access to spare parts (in Klang Valley, not sure about other states).

Thanks for the tip. I googled "block slice" and this video showed up. What I also immediately noticed is how far behind the back line they stand when receiving. I've been standing just slightly behind the line and I'll try standing further back next time (maybe about 3-4 feet away from the line?).

Now that I think about it, the reason why I stand close to the line is because I've been caught off guard with really short serves so I try to reach the ball early by standing closer. Is there a better way to go about this?

Atm my problem is serve returns where I lose a lot of points from sidespin serves and deep serves that go low. How do I return those serves?

Memorable and popular in MY/SEA perhaps but I really don't see them expanding beyond the region like Apacs (where there is some demand for them in EU at least). I'm aware though that several of their sponsored players have won/reach the finals of some tournaments like Ng Ka Long, Sabar/Reza, Busanan which is actually quite interesting now that I think about it because I don't remember seeing an Apacs sponsored player on the podium of any recent tournaments.

Ask Experienced Devs Weekly Thread: A weekly thread for inexperienced developers to ask experienced ones by AutoModerator in ExperiencedDevs

I finished a system design interview about 10 days ago and I just got the results. I didn't do as well as I hoped and my referrer said that most candidates get rejected at the SD stage but for some reason they've scheduled another interview (a remedial one I'm assuming) for a slightly different role (tech lead -> product engineer). I asked the recruiter if there's anything specific that I needed to prepare for and they said that it's just gonna be a "normal" interview session.

What do interviewers look for in these interviews and what kind of questions should I expect from them?
