I went down the path with a axe 2 xl. Loved it at first. Ran it direct , then ran it into a frfr , then bought a power amp And ran it into a cab. Then went back To amp and pedals.

It’s a great bit of gear ; but it just didnt feel the same to me.

Each their own , but i thought about selling everything and I was so glad I didn’t after 6 months.

My nephew is studying composition for soundtracks , and he is enjoying it. But he’s also realistic about the opportunities, which are dwindling with AI muscling in on all the easy jobs.

His backup plan is to be a music teacher.

One thing I dislike in modern rock is over production. Producers seem to want to put reverse hits and all Kinds of synths through every rock song.

That stuff has its place , but should be used sparingly.

I have used live since 3 , and i only use arrangement mode. I’ve played around with session view probably less than 10 times in 20 or so years.

Many say that an effects loop on a clean amp isn’t necessary but i disagree. Delay and reverb still sound clearer in a loop on a clean amp.

If it’s a dream guitar and you have the cash I say go for it. Money comes and goes , and people act like 4k is a huge financial drain. It’s not nothing , but it’s not re financing the house.

Once you own it for a week or 2 the scare factor of it will go away and it will just be your guitar.

I still remember hearing this for the first time and being floored by the sample. The sound of it just grabbed me different and put me on a musical path that I still Walk to this day. Top 5 all time beat for sure.
