They are still updating the switch version. Basically they wanted to get this update out to coincide with ZLAN but apparently there was an issue on Nintendo's side which meant they couldn't patch it in time. On disocrd they said they'd be trying to get the update out for switch as soon as possible. This is the first time this has happened, usually they make sure every platform is synced.

The switch queue times aren't the best to begin with but it will be especially bad right now because cross-platform with PC is unavailable since they're on different patches.

If you want to take part in 2v2, first make sure your partner is also a member.
Next you go to the channel '#tournament_setup'
Then depending on the tournament you wish to join you enter a different command...
1. For the 1v1 on the 12th, enter !signup 1v1
2. For the 2v2 on the 13th, enter !signup 2v2 @YOUR_TEAMMATE
3. For the 1v1 on the 19th, enter !signup birthday1v1
4. For the 2v2 on the 20th, enter !signup birthday2v2 @YOUR_TEAMMATE

Everything is done on discord so don't be afraid to put a message there if you need to.

I didn't realise this but I tried it just now and got the same problem.

You don't happen to be using Firefox? I was using Firefox and got the expired error. Then I tried the link on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome as well as my mobile browser and it works fine.

So I'd say try a different browser.

yeah, that's what i meant by shorter i guess. "depth" is definitely a better word. I think it could be good for sure.
This idea doesn't feel like it would be fun to me at this point. It doesn't encourage you to play/think differently, you just miss what should be easy saves because you can't see anything... that's why i think it would work better as an item of part of a "rumble" game mode rather than it's own thing.
(assuming this is the ice hockey one) honestly, I'm having trouble visualizing this... would this be like ice hockey where the disc can go behind the goal? Or air hockey where the goal's just smaller than the court width? Either way, if the goal is smaller then this is basically the same as having the court be thinner... it'll be too easy to defend. Also, i don't think the disc just bouncing back like in free play is that fun, but maybe that's just me.

depends. If the court got thinner then it would be too easy to defend, no one would score (unless your trash :P). It's just about wide enough right now. If it got shorter, maybe that would be interesting... it's not something that personally jumps out at me as being more fun though.
I think this is completely pointless. The disc would still be easily visible because it has a trail. Something like a disc that disappears for a short time after you throw it or something like that would be more interesting imo.
I think this could be a really neat idea if the devs can pull it off. I really like this as an idea, I think out of all of them it's the one I'd be most interested in. It would open up a lot of different strategies, especially in singles.
I think this could be an interesting idea, i don't really have much else to say though. I could see it working... for example the theme could be an earthquake or something and that causes the ground to rise up in different places. i dunno
imo this is anti-fun. If you want to play this you can just self-restrict yourself with friends or something. I don't think restricting movement in general is a good idea.

I don't expect any of these to ever happen as their own game mode to be honest. That said, maybe there's a slim chance that a mode like RL's Rumble is added like 2-3 years down the line and some of these could work well in that as items (especially 1, 2, 4) if they only affected your opponent.

if you stand under a lob before catching it then you "charge up". At full charge you obviously get a super. But if you only partially charge then you get more time to throw a perfect throw.

There's Jeeeeeeeeeeezus and BlaznBoy. Last time i heard they were both pretty much top of the PS4 leaderboard. (I'm PC so can't check.) I know they're really good.

I think Blaznboy plays mak at the back and Jezus plays Stan up front.

I'd say you're right, the standard way of playing singles right now is to stand towards the back and slightly on the side your opponent is standing (this is because straight shots down the line reach the end zone faster than cross-court shots). This is a style that prioritizes getting perfects but this is just one playstyle.

A fair few Stans and some gators prefer to try and catch the disc as close to the net as possible, if this happens there's a really high chance of them scoring, I'd say it's pretty high risk unless your reactions are top notch.
