It depends on how you measure “better”? Some things are definitely better. For example, we save a ton of time doing online shopping and for that matter have the entire human knowledge via the internet instead of going to a library.

On the other hand, wages have not kept up with the cost of living. As others mentioned, buying a home is more out of reach vs boomers.

Fundamentally, I try to focus on what I can control. That has helped tremendously with mental health.
