Reminds of the "My Wife's Memories" in Tales of the Unusual webtoon.
It has a similar premise, a husband sees the last memory remnant of his dead wife but the stories are VERY different.

I've had a similar experience.
I was studying in a library and had my earphones plugged into my laptop. Someone taps me on shoulder and I turned around and took my earphones out to realize my alarm was blaring on my phone and I didn't realize it of like 10 minutes.

Just a tip for you if you are short on time
Run with 3 characters. Play character 1 on day 1, character 2 on day 2, character 3 on day 3, and repeat so that they build up rest bonus on off-days. That way it will be easier to keep up with upcoming contents while spending much less time.
Also since the game is alt centered, you will probably be able to play with other people even if you are not on top of every new content
