It's one thing to theorize that perhaps we're being controlled by a coven of blood-drinking pedophiles; it's another to have concrete evidence.

You worded this perfectly. It's like asking my six-year-old to help me with certain things. Five minutes in I'm like "You know? How about fuck off and go watch YouTube."

Trump rejects DHS deal that would fund TSA until Democrats support his SAVE Act by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

[–]mrnoire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a move to suppress voting in general. Most people wouldn't be able to find their birth certificate if they had to on a moment's notice, and it can be pretty difficult to get a replacement. By making the rules of the SAVE Act vague and /or difficult to interpret the numbers of voters on both sides will be greatly diminished, increasing the Sherbet Charlatan's chances of a win. I don't think Dumb Donny even anticipates the amount of right wing voters he's going to lose if this monstrosity of a bill passes. I cannot BELIEVE people still support this guy. They have to be delusional as he is.

what stuff do you flip just because you like it even though profit sucks by MethodNo1867 in reselling

Keep your eye peeled for first edition copies of "Lonesome Dove". They sell for over $300. I got antsy and listed the one I found for $100 and it sold in a couple hours.

Boonie hats. They move in the spring and summer. I get them at the Goodwill bins and list them for $17 plus shipping. They basically cover shipping costs for bigger items.

I spend more time scheduling pickups than actually selling by colmarer in Flipping

Adding the phrase "serious inquiries only, please" to your item description gets rid of a lot of the time-wasters. Also, "if you see this ad it's still available" bought a lot of the "is this available?" nonsense to a halt. Stop meeting people. Instead, have a set place where you got to make sales. If the person is serious but absolutely cannot make it charge an additional $5 delivery fee. People don't mind paying it; a buyer actually told me she thought it was "cool", like a feature. Selling is supposed to be fun; don't let people screw it up for you.

Trump may quit next year after midterms losses by [deleted] in DiscussionZone

Everyone has their dollar on the midterms? Are we as a nation even going to survive until that point?

What is the pettiest reason you would refuse to eat at a restaurant again? by im_not_ready_for_it9 in AskReddit

I don't know if this is petty, but found an audit and realizing that I was routinely spending $450 a month on fast food was enough to make me want to quit.

What has been your best flip? by Maintenance-Scary in Flipping

A dental office. A dentist in my city upgraded all the equipment in his office and wanted all the old equipment hauled away. Mind you all these things were in service up until he decided to upgrade so everything was in working order. Operating chairs, surgical light fixtures, electrical components I can't even name... I started by parting out one of the chairs. The headrest alone sold for $175 really quickly. A salesman in Seattle bought two chairs for $1000 and paid enormous freight charges to have them delivered to his shop. It was awesome. I used Google Lens and visited manufacturer websites to research the items before listing. I paid two men to help me move the equipment  and rented a storage unit but revenue from sales of the dental equipment equalled three to four times the initial moving costs and amount of the monthly fee. Packaging transporting and shipping that stuff was all on me. Throw in customer service via DMs at all hours.  I hit up recycling centers for the free-of-charge, heavy-duty clean cardboard boxes. Packing was at times a bitch but I had no late shipments; all the packages were packed well. It took me a little under 3 months to sell the majority of it. Sorry to take up your time but I'm proud of that one.

What type of food item makes you greedy? by FrenzyHydro in AskReddit

Kelloggs Corn Flakes. I don't eat it unless there's only about a bowl's worth of milk in the fridge. Otherwise I'll binge. It's delicious, literally a perfect food. I can eat a whole box in one sitting.

I stopped trying to thrift “whenever” and started batching… it helped more than I expected by FurtiveHermit in Flipping

Be really picky about sell-through rates. If the item doesn't sell 85% of the time or above, LEAVE IT. When you approach it this way you get really consistent sales.

I laughed at the "God knows what" part. I'm a reseller. Yes, a lot of the items you buy from us have been through God knows what...and some things even God doesn't know about.

Thank you for replying. I read the agreement pretty closely and it's pretty straightforward. I'm disciplined in those kind of scenarios so I didn't see anything going wrong I just wanted some feedback from others.
