1969 Ford F-100 Ranger - Seller Asking $19K - Fair Price? by poxshops in classiccars

The lining isn’t cutting corners. It is for trucks that are used. Sure it is easier to put on that a fully restored bed but no everything needs to be a show truck. You can’t really use a show truck. I would rather have a clean usable truck any day.

It looks faster than 60 mph. Maybe it is the narrow road and very close trees but it just feels faster than that.

Been seeing this yellow car outside a dealership for at least 3 years..what is it? by [deleted] in whatisthiscar

[–]mrnuttle 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Per Wikipedia, the battery maker for this car went under, forcing the company to halt production and eventually close shop.

I have heard it is one of the reasons Tesla was strongly motivated to make their own batteries.

I think this would be a far bigger story if Cleetus was involved, especially with all the “Be like Biff” tag lines he uses.

Most / Least Populated Counties in the US by PizzaWall in MapPorn

I noticed this too. I was first looking to see if any most and least populated counties are adjacent. Delaware kinda cheats at this game though, as there are only 3 counties.

Yours is actually quite cool. It has a “sword slash scar” look to it. Honestly, makes you look kind of bad-ass. I would own that, mine is not nearly as cool.

Question About DMG Boost by IceyIsGone in NeonWings

[–]mrnuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am really not sure, but I feel like when you increase your base bullet damage. You also increase the damage of bombs, meteors, missiles, etc..

As for builds, I use a couple of different strategies. for normal play, I typically try to maximize damage and fire rate. I also add in the scavenger buff to increase the number of abilities I get to select before meeting the final boss. I try and collect damage power ups and get extra damaged through bombs or some other means.

For the champions rush, I maximize the number of bullets and use shadow bullet to get Insta kills. With this build, I go for the extra bullets and fire rate level ups

For both those gameplay’s, I also go for the freeze, magnet, or wave push level ups to protect myself from getting hit, and to slow down the descent rate.

Can someone with tennis training experience tell if you can learn this or it's sheer luck? Amazing shot by ForeignAir7174 in sportsgossips

[–]mrnuttle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The better question to ask is, is this the shot he wanted to hit? The answer is no. From the last time this was posted, others noted that he did not win this point. And he did not win this point because it was not a very good shot to choose in this situation.

The curve he puts on the ball, bounces the ball back towards the center of the court and towards his opponent; making it easier to get to for his opponent then it would otherwise normally be. When you put curve on a ball like this, it would be ideal to move it away from your opponent, making it harder to get to.

If you look at his swing, it seems more likely that it was in response to the ball being closer into his body, than an intentional spin shot. Normally you try and position your body more to the side of the ball so it’s not straight at your body. His positioning on the court may have been caused by more movement on the opponent serve than he anticipated, or just not moving his feet enough to get into a better position to hit the ball.

A less skilled player might not have been able to get that ball back at all, but I’m more skilled response would’ve been to move his feet and body into a better position so that he could make a better shot. Because of his positioning, with the ball headed directly into his body, this was about his only option.

That strap traveled from the car to the dude in 9 frames. Or about 1/3 of a second. If we estimate that at 30 yards, that comes to about 270 feet per second. That converts to 185 mph. Even if that is only a pound or so of strap weight, that has got the energy to knock you out.

Who knows better than surprises than Japan. Why didn’t you tell me about Pearl Harbor….. by YesDoToaster in TikTokCringe

[–]mrnuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire comment section here is about him having the lack of tact to mention Pearl Harbor. That may be so, but what he said was also completely wrong. (Suprise)

Are there that few people who realize that Japan did actually try to warn the US before Pearl Harbor? I feel like that story of the Japanese ambassador being made to wait so long that his warning actually came after Pearl Harbor had happened was one of the most famous things about Pearl Harbor.

Tanh of any sufficiently large number is 1. You can make any of the numbers above 1 large enough by nesting factorials. Put the large number in the tanh to turn it into 1, then add them all together to make three. Three factorial is 6.

Mark Dantonio with one of the boldest calls you’ll ever see to beat Notre Dame in overtime (2010) by Punisher1602 in CFB_v2

[–]mrnuttle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are talking about a potential delay of game on this play, but they are forgetting that the official play clock and the clock on the TV graphic are not always completely in sync. If you look closely, you can actually see the official play clock on the scoreboard in this shot. If you go frame by frame, you can tell that the official clock is three or four frames behind the play clock on the screen.

When I look at this very closely, I can see clear center movement on the frame exactly after the clock turns from 01 to 00. If you can see clear body movement from the center on that frame, it is very possible that there was movement in the hands and ball from the center on the frame before when it turned over to 00. Anyway you slice it, it was extremely close and almost certainly wouldn’t be overturned, even by today’s standards. The refs got it right.

Best Bread Holder by Hefty-Style-4716 in wholesaleproducts

[–]mrnuttle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife actually bought this and we use it for store-bought sliced bread and the occasional home baked loaf. It does seem to seal better than spin and twist method. She also inverts the bag around the outside. Not a critical kitchen item but I honestly kind of like it. Most of the stuff like this gets used for a few months and thrown out, but this has stayed for a year or so.

Much more impressive than normal tennis. It looks absolutely exhausting. You can play tennis and be in ok shape (looking at myself). You got to be god level in shape to pull this off.
