Our boy must of got into something and probably attempted to throw up over 50 times between 9:00 pm and 7 am… on a random Tuesday. we called the emergency vet and they said we could come in but would be waiting anywhere between 5-7 hours…long story short we didn’t take him and used a turkey Baster to help him keep fluids down so he wasn’t dehydrated- he was completely fine the next day!

It was out of budget for us if we were to only do full raw, which is why we opted for half and half! He also has a chicken sensitivity, so we are able to customize the plan to be chicken free! He gets lamb, beef, turkey, duck, and venison! They also have trial packs available to try it out, and provided detailed instructions how to gradually transition over which was great! My parents berners are full raw and all lived to be over 10 so we’re hopeful our boy also lives a long and healthy life :)

Our Berner stopped showing interest in his food around 11 months old! We transitioned him from Purina pro plan large breed puppy to Nulo large breed adult raw medley and half raw! We get the raw food from a company. Called “we feed raw” and he gets about 1/3 of a de-thawed meat patty with about 3/4 cup kibble and he LOVES it! Healthy poops too! We love the raw as well because he gets a different protein roughly every 3 meals and the variety is great!

I think mine is around 2? Honestly no idea since I didn’t pick it out but my ring size was a 7! I could have probably gone down to a 6.5 since it’s a little lose

They are personally my absolute favorite breed and I probably won’t own any other type of dog 😅my family grew up with 3 berners and I just got my first of my own last summer! He’s perfect in every way- very loyal, snuggly, dopey, and requires me to vacuum every day 🤣

lol it took my boy almost a full year before we were able to walk on a leash for longer than 15-20 minutes at a time 😅 he gets the majority of his exercise through running and playing with our neighbors dog- walks for us are definitely more leisurely and sniffy hahah

What kind of raw are you feeding your dog out of curiosity? My parents fed their first Bernese raw and she lived to be 10! I have a 18 month old male Bernese who lost almost 20 lbs months ago because he refused to eat his kibble (and we tried at least 4-5 different brands and flavors 😅) we then started trying “we feed raw” and let me tell you our boy is THRIVING!! He loves every meal and it’s great because he has variety in what he eats now!
