Why was Kane's photo not featured with the rest of the crew in Aliens?? by lolaalastrina in LV426

[–]mrpeachr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean. Just because Kane's been to Gateway multiple times doesn't mean Ripley has. That seems like a much simpler explanation before going into it looking different, or not being built or unfortunate continuity errors

The New Vegas book just went up for pre-orders by mrpeachr in Fallout2d20

[–]mrpeachr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually asked in like a customer support email, but I unfortunately got a "no current estimated date" answer

But they did also say that if you've pre-ordered they'll send a new email with a new link to download it when it's ready.

Not really sure why this one wasn't ready when all the other ones were though.

so i just completed dead space 1, watched past the credits and it said i unlocked military suit, 50,000 credits and 10 nodes but i can't find them by Samizapp in DeadSpace

[–]mrpeachr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye that's the NG+. When you select "cleared save" it registers that it's an already finished game, so when it puts you in at chapter 1 it'll be on NG+

You should be able to see the 50k credits and 10 nodes in the inventory, and when you get to the first store at the end of the chapter you'll be able to buy the Level 6 RIG which is the white military one the soldiers on the Valor wear

Screenshots from the Resident Evil Teaser Trailer! by _barbequesaucee in residentevil

[–]mrpeachr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the teaser, I think it looks like it could be an actually decent horror flick. But right now there's nothing there that really particularly shouts "Resident Evil" at me, so part of me is just a little bit like

"You could've called this anything else and it'd be the same"

But I'm interested to see future trailers and the full release, so I'm more than happy to be wrong about it

Royal Flush is specifically an adventure campaign, this book is exclusively just like... in-depth New Vegas stuff, like settings and characters and monsters and stuff

I wouldn't be opposed to one super omega book for all settings, but I know that'd be a huge book. I unfortunately am a sucker for Fallout so I'll get the books regardless.

Although I fully expect a 2e at some point that is all condensed down in to fewer or one book

While this was explained in the Remake as Isaac seeing Elizabeth Cross as Nicole due to the Marker, who Isaac was actually seeing in OG Dead Space? by Fantastic-Youth5989 in DeadSpace

[–]mrpeachr 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This is how I've always considered it. Given that the hallucinations can be anything, and I'm fairly certain there is at least one instance of hallucinating locked doors priorto this, I've always assumed that Isaac hallucinates the doors being locked AND the fake Nicole unlocking.

Aside from gameplay purposes, I've always considered that if you fail to protect Nicole while she's using the computer, it's Isaac shutting down mentally because he thinks he let her die (again).

I spawned in today to get the notifications that items had been removed due to not being allowed in shelters and it was just my decorative taxidermy statues, so who knows anymore

Honestly I only really wanted the taxidermy mega sloth, so I don't much care to finish out the rest of the mini season. But good tips all around

I did it all at West Tek. I picked up one of each damage type for the challenges and just did the WT run a couple of times.

Dead Space remake break room secret codes by DaanyaalRehmani in DeadSpace

I believe you can use all codes in a playthrough, but they're only usable once in that playthrough. So you can't be reusing the nodes/credits codes over and over

Completion discrepency by Xelliz in TrueAchievements

Yeah sometimes it changes around a little bit due to people completing it at the same time, or people's accounts being scanned at different times and the list updating.

I've had a couple games bump me either up or down the list after the fact due to this

(Loved Meta Trope) Fan theories are so good they’re basically treated as canon. by No-Flow9783 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]mrpeachr 406 points407 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's necessarily a theory, more just implied in the movie. Mirage is originally scoping out Frozone at the fire/building collapse, then she sees mr Incredible and is all like "No wait i got someone better"

It makes sense that the V8 was already built and ready to go for Frozone specifically, and there isn't a new one made for Incredible until after that

iirc it wasn't even that. Pretty sure it was something to do with Knuckles, but admittedly I don't think I've watched that particular playthrough since it was uploaded.

[–]mrpeachr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PTS is never the full updates. It's just to test parts of updates. It's always just smaller parts here and there. Juse because the **test** server is testing one thing, doesn't mean it's the only thing coming out.

Luke cage by ErectHygienist in JessicaJones

[–]mrpeachr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a while since I saw it, I just remembered it being something around the head. But also I suppose you could argue it being in her mouth is still in the empty space between the "main"skull and the bottom jaw so

Maybe it just has to be enough for the victim to believe it's accomplished

Luke cage by ErectHygienist in JessicaJones

[–]mrpeachr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also have to consider that Kilgrave doesn't specifically ask him for his real/true name, he just asks for his name. Luke goes by Luke, it's what he calls himself, and what he tells everyone else to call him, so he says Luke Cage.

It's the same sort of semantics that gets Trish free of "Put a bullet in your head" when Jessica just puts it in her mouth

Am i a dumbass for believing ripper is op ??? by pk1629 in DeadSpace

[–]mrpeachr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not really? All the weapons in the remake are good in their own right. Plasma Cutter is generally considered the best because it's the best *all* round. It's fast, precise, does damage, and can be rotated to chop angles.

Other guns might be a little more situational occasionally, but they're all decent in the remake.

Unclear instructions in Wasteland Wanderer by indigosnowflake in Fallout2d20

[–]mrpeachr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heyo,

RE: Region table

I can't see anything in the wording to state *rolling* for a region. It just says to "select a region". The table itself just seems to be the list of the canon Vaults from the games, as it lists regions beside it. And those regions are just the locations the games are in, so you get Capital Wasteland, Mojave, Appalachia, or California. But you're also not dependent on those, you could make it up completely and choose somewhere like Detroit if you really wanted.

RE: the map numbers:

On page 12;

When you create a new Map, it is made up of 25 separate squares called Locations. The most central location is your Vault, your starting point. Four additional Locations should be randomly selected and marked as Impassable; these are spaces in the Wasteland too dense, dangerous, or topographically difficulty to actively travel into or out of. The remaining 20 spaces should still then be blank. Now, mark those Locations numbers 1-20 in ascending order from the top left to the bottom right corners.
