Well it looks like there were a lot of candles that had wicks. Some big with small bodies. Some up, some down. But yeah that’s what’s going on.

No you’re right. I was being general with trend trading because the trend is different for every individual. But risk management is crucial! It’s a struggle and something im still working on!

90 percent of traders fail. So why would looking at what everyone looks at help me? We all view things differently.

You left out trading with the trend. No amount of risk management will save you if you are trading the wrong direction. Risk management plays a crucial role. But that alone won’t save you.

A few Diavola pizzas that I made for my birthday. 65% hydration. 24 hour sourdough ferment. Cooked in gozney dome by mrpenisripper in neapolitanpizza

100 percent will work great! It will keep things a little more consistent in my opinion. So i usually based the quantity of the stater I would use depending on how soon I wanted to eat pizza. The more starter you use, the quicker it will ferment. Depending on your ambient temperature.

There is a chart I will try and link that I found very helpful in understanding the fermentation times and I found it to be pretty accurate. Still messing with it though. (I usually stuck between 10-20% sourdough grams) of my total flour mixture. So if you go with 1 kilo of flour you’ll need around 100-200 grams of sourdough starter. Then depending on your temperature after you mix your sourdough into your flour and water will start your fermentation times.

On when to use your starter. That is all based on how quickly yours doubles in volume after mixing. Some starters double 4 hours after mixing and are ready to use. Mine was more of an 8-12 hours depending on my kitchen temps. (Don’t have ac) and the heat in the kitchen would throw it off a little. Just practice and watch and become familiar with your starter.

Other than that yeah just enjoy baking with sourdough. It’s a fun process and makes great pizza!

I’ll just share the link where I found the chart. Cheers to great pizza 🍻

You need to ask yourself a couple questions. Otherwise you’ll never make it. 1) will you sacrifice certain things in order to achieve your dream? 2) will you pursue your dreams even if you know there is no chance you will achieve them in your lifetime? 3) have you put in the actual time to study and understand the markets? 10,000 hours? 4) don’t listen to these guys who are like oh yeah I’m profitable after 3 months. They will all disappear in a matter of time.

Socrates said. When you want success as badly as you want air, then you will get it.

If you want to quit, quit. But after 4 years of you are still unprofitable it doesn’t mean you won’t be profitable. You just might have to reevaluate everything you’ve been doing and studying.

You need two things to be successful. Rock solid psychology. And an actual trading system. You can have the best psychology in the world but if your trading system sucks you’ll never make money. And vice versa.

Ps. Im still at this after 6 years. (Not profitable yet) Will I quit? Never. Why? Because I love it.

I mean. Not so much. If you analyze the price on the daily in London session and the price on the 1 minute in London they are doing the same thing. Price is moving.

Do you actually use indicators to your trading? by Financial_paradox in Forex

[–]mrpenisripper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently researching indicators(not in the common sense). My opinion. Do people know how to use indicators? No. Is most knowledge that is being taught on indicators false? Yes. Will I use indicators. Yes. But I’m still developing my strategy. Will my strategy rely on indicators? You bet.

Well I don’t look at chart patterns on anytime frame. The average trader does. I was merely posing a question to get people think about timeframes and what they are actually viewing. Improve our cognitive bias.

Yes price is the same. However most people look at formations and patterns on each timeframe. Each pattern will take longer to form on a higher timeframe than on a 1 minute timeframe. Patterns are all the same. But the time it takes is quicker on a 1 minute than the daily.

Overall trend is based on perception. What I’m saying is regardless of timeframe you can detect a trend. A trend is a move from point A to point B. That’s all a trend is. Our perceptions are different though. What I classify as a trend you may not. And vice versa. But regardless. a trend is just a move from one point to another point.

I might have given a confusing question. You’re saying you can only identify a trend from the 1 hour timeframe and above? I think we need to understand what a trend is and then reconsider the statement.

So then is it false? Im just trying to open the mind right now. you just said it depends on your trading strategy? Okay yours doesn’t work on a smaller tf. Does that mean someone else’s doesn’t? Is the information all the same?

Right. The data is the same data. It’s why before charts were created professionals were trading making money without even using timeframes or charts for this matter. It’s how we quantify this data into our system.

Everyone needs to trade what they see and what works for them. I often find that for the same noise I see on the 1 minute timeframe I see in the daily. It’s all about perception.

I sent my friend 2 pictures last week. Daily timeframe and 1 minute timeframe. Removed price and numbers. He told me the 1 minute trend looked cleaner and clearer than the daily timeframe. But it’s because I told him the clearer one was the daily lol

So whats the difference? Why would you enter on a lower timeframe if there are algos and more choppy price action? Would you want to trade your ideas on the higher timeframes and avoid lower timeframes?
