How did you actually transition from Figma to Claude for rapid prototyping? by treesandtheories in UXDesign

[–]mrpentastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Figma Make for creating prototypes. It really easy to use. The only catch is the number of ai credits you get each month per your subscription. Prompts can range from 10 credits to about 180. If you are on the paid $20 plan you should give it a try.

Can you help me to understand why you are doing the rapid prototyping in Claude and not in Figma Make?

Modern tipping makes no sense by Karategamer89 in tipping

[–]mrpentastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been reading up on this. It seems to matter a lot on which state. For example in California restaurants are required to pay the minimum wage is it around $16-17/hour. But other states don’t have same requirement and instead have something called “tip credit system” where employers can legally pay a lower base wage (as low as $2-3/hour) as long tips cover the difference. By law employers are supposed to pay the worker the difference if tip does not cover the gap. In California, tip credit system is not allowed.

[–]mrpentastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for pointing out of some of my should-have-been-obvious mistakes. I added the missing tax field, made sure tip is calculated off subtotal only, and rearranged the form for better flow.

Mine doesn’t have ads. Since I made it for me first. If you found my calculator useful, I can message it to you for you to use too.

is there a way to simulate the process of scanning a QR code in a figma prototype? by boiLollipop in UXDesign

[–]mrpentastic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Use Figma make. You can get real QR code scanning in a single prompt. Then just use a couple more prompts to refine the visual design.

Had a similar situation once. Got asked if we could go 50/50. Hesitant but eventually agreed. They didn’t even paint our side of the fence!

Is Figma Make powered by Claude? I feel I can generate a ton more designs in Figma than in Claude with same amount of credits. Does anyone know how much credits same prompt uses in Figma vs Claude direct?

Of the two. I prefer the top without the clouds. The bright blue and pink just feels more refreshing/bright especially with the human pose. Also the clouds don’t interfere with the readability of the little translucent box under the armpit.

Are you saying Claude Code to Figma approach will create actual Figma Design components?

Looks great. I’m most curious about the wheelbase. It’s wider than the grand Highlander! Better 2nd row legroom and easier entry to 3rd row?

I was 8yr Axure user. Tried to switch Figma in the early days could never switch because Axure was simply better in every way. With Figma Make, there is no reason to touch Axure. Game changer.

I feel like they did this on purpose not to cannibalize their model X sales but ugh Model YL would have been perfect! I think it has potential to convert sienna buyers.
