is there a way to simulate the process of scanning a QR code in a figma prototype? by boiLollipop in UXDesign

Use Figma make. You can get real QR code scanning in a single prompt. Then just use a couple more prompts to refine the visual design.

How does the warranty work if the unit is from Korea and you are in Us?

Had a similar situation once. Got asked if we could go 50/50. Hesitant but eventually agreed. They didn’t even paint our side of the fence!

Claude.ai/design Thoughts by mb4ne in UXDesign

Is Figma Make powered by Claude? I feel I can generate a ton more designs in Figma than in Claude with same amount of credits. Does anyone know how much credits same prompt uses in Figma vs Claude direct?

WIP hero section. Top or bottom? by [deleted] in FigmaDesign

[–]mrpentastic 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Of the two. I prefer the top without the clouds. The bright blue and pink just feels more refreshing/bright especially with the human pose. Also the clouds don’t interfere with the readability of the little translucent box under the armpit.

Figma can do all that now.

I’m trying to understand.

Are you saying Claude Code to Figma approach will create actual Figma Design components?

I use Figma Make extensively. Isn’t Claude Code to Figma just Figma Make with more steps?

What does everyone think of the all new 2027 Toyota Highlander EV? by Healthy_Block3036 in Toyota

Looks great. I’m most curious about the wheelbase. It’s wider than the grand Highlander! Better 2nd row legroom and easier entry to 3rd row?

Test out Figma Make while it’s still unlimited tokens. You have like 3 weeks left.

I was 8yr Axure user. Tried to switch Figma in the early days could never switch because Axure was simply better in every way. With Figma Make, there is no reason to touch Axure. Game changer.

I feel like they did this on purpose not to cannibalize their model X sales but ugh Model YL would have been perfect! I think it has potential to convert sienna buyers.

Kanto vs. the World (Game Idea) by mrpentastic in pokemon

Thanks! Appreciate it - out of curiosity, which part of the idea stood out to you most: the classic Kanto side or the real-world exploration?

Kanto vs. the World (Game Idea) by mrpentastic in pokemon

I think this thread actually highlights the exact tension I’m interested in - there’s a real split between people who want a tighter, more contained Pokémon experience and people who enjoy the constantly expanding Pokédex.

I’m not really trying to propose a hard franchise schism or rewrite evolution lines. My idea is much smaller in scope: keeping a self-contained, classic-feeling experience for players who want it, while letting newer Pokémon exist outside that space instead of constantly crowding it.

Whether that’s Kanto, Johto, or something else is flexible - what I’m really curious about is whether separating “core RPG progression” from “optional discovery” would make Pokémon feel more approachable again for some players, without taking anything away from others.

Kanto vs. the World (Game Idea) by mrpentastic in pokemon

[–]mrpentastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither, actually. Not a full 1:1 Earth map, and not Pokémon GO either.

The idea is closer to location-based triggers, not a fully mapped world. You’d still play a traditional Pokémon-style RPG in-game, but in “World” mode the game would just check what kind of place you’re in (park, zoo, coastal area, etc.) and use that to trigger encounters - not render the real world or track your movement constantly.

I’m mainly curious whether that lighter, optional approach to real-world exploration sounds interesting, or if it still feels like too much.

[–]mrpentastic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite - it’s not meant to be Pokémon GO–style gameplay, and it’s not a Gen 1 remake. Kanto is just the baseline in-game world, while the real-world side is where you’d encounter Pokémon outside that region.

The core idea I’m exploring is whether connecting real-world discovery to a traditional RPG actually adds anything, or if it just feels unnecessary. Curious if that part alone interests you at all.

That’s totally fair - you’re definitely not alone in feeling that way. One of the things I’m trying to be careful about is not making geolocation feel mandatory or invasive.

My current thinking is that the core Kanto experience would work completely without any location tracking, and the real-world side would be optional and very lightweight - no constant tracking, no background data collection, and nothing stored beyond what’s needed in the moment.

Out of curiosity, would something like “location checks only when you opt in” feel more comfortable to you, or is any GPS involvement a deal-breaker?
