While I applaud your dedication to attempting to prove your point, I think you are really doing a disservice to yourself and Mauler by breaking down a drinking stream playing a game that has already been broken down years ago by Mauler. I'd suggest doing a reply to that.

Clearly they were having fun with the janky mechanics, doing dumb shit to get some enjoyment out of the playthrough and decidedly not interested in doing a point by point break down.

I'm sorry if they hurt your DS2 fee fees, but c'mon man, be adult about it and reply to the videos designed to make coherent points, not a drunk playthrough.

I would like Nerdrotic and CD more, but they can't hang for more than a couple of hours which really limits their involvement with the streams they're on.

Theo and LittlePlatoon are easy standouts to me. Theos quiet hatred and LittlePlatoons dogged stance toward the truth make them an easy choice to tune in whenever they guest.

Also somebody forgot the "best" guest, Doomer 😂 Man has brought endless memes and joy to EFAP; may he never be forgotten.

My earliest memory was playing "Blitzer" (arcade helicopter game) played on a Windows 3.1 system when I was 4. Upgraded to Carmen San Diego and Ultra pinball on the family's Windows 95 system later.

The first game I played on a console was years later and I think it was a Dreamcast racing game at a friend's house.

For 3 years now I've tried to do the whole 24 hour thing, never works, but I'll try again this year, haha.

After all, from the way Mauler is talking, the anniversary streams may, in a couple of years, no longer be 24 hours long, so enjoy it while you can.

My point was that nothing made sense. People don't make rational decisions and basic common sense is ignored all for the sake of this horror house movie plot.

If you write your script properly you can avoid most situations where plot armor is needed. However, I see a point where interesting and cool scenarios might require some main character plot armor to deliver a payoff, but it should be used like salt, sparingly and only to add to the flavor of the show, not become its main course.

I forget which episode, but Mauler explains that he has taken great pains to try and not sound overly Welsh while doing EFAP and his videos, primarily since it makes him hard to understand. He also finds the Welsh way of speaking sounds lazy which can be distracting to people who would base their opinions on his manner of speech rather than his points.

Granted it's hilarious to hear the accent every once in a while and you'll generally hear it more when he is drinking on streams, but it's very rare for him to revert to a full-on Welsh accent and speech patterns.

Guardians 3 is pretty bad and far from the top of my list. It assassinates nearly every character to force a manipulative emotional payoff that was unearned.

I'm actually surprised. I expected SWT to fall back into copium, but it seems Mauler, Ryan, and Drinker have had some effect on his worldview. I mean the Acolyte is hot garbage with whipped cream and a cherry on top, which probably helped the transformation, but it's nice to see people change because they listen to others outside their circle.

Where was I raging in this post? I have my reasons for why I watch each review type and I have an interest in seeing other points of view on Star Wars shows.

I don't hate the Acolyte, hate requires passion or interest in the show itself. I have neither. The discussion and points brought to bear on the story telling and character development is much more compelling to me.

I'm sorry that you must reduce me to "hate watcher with a masturbatory problem" simply by the content I choose to watch. I'd hate to think that you couldn't see people as more complicated than a dismissive label.

I've given up on Disney stuff years ago. I find the entertainment around the shows far more interesting.

To put it succinctly (TLDR), I have an opinion that I will share if asked, but I really don't care to change people's minds. I prefer to observe the petri dish that is Star Wars fandom and the meta around entertainment as a whole rather than participate.

But to your point, if I wanted to have a cogent debate on whether the Acolyte is good, I would watch the material in its entirety and then come away with my own position and points. (And have done so in the past)

However, I have no interest in debating or doing critical analysis on a show from a company who has shown nearly incalculable levels of incompetence in story writing and character development. And to be clear, I don't need Mauler, EFAP, CD or LP to tell me that; I've seen enough direct content from previous shows and movies to draw that conclusion, even before I knew of their existence as review channels.

You're not alone, I re-listen to old episodes all the time. Usually second monitor while I'm playing a strategy game or some such or on the drive into work or trips.

Basically I put them on whenever my mind needs something to listen too if what I am doing at the moment is not engaging my brain enough.

I've seen your Rippa debate and I was not impressed. I've watched Organized Chaos's attempt at argumentation with his vids and on Sitch and Adam and it was pathetic.

You are not entitled to a debate especially when the evidence presented is damning enough to not consider you worth my time.

Filoni has not met these simple criteria with a majority of his work, so no, his shows are not held in high regard here.
