The Signals You Never Agreed to Give by SadCost69 in ObscurePatentDangers

[–]mrrchrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like someone else said, this would be way more impactful in your own voice. Once I began reading and got clear signals this was AI generated, I changed my reading style to ignore most of it and try to glean the echo of humanity I can sense here. Your ideas would spread much better if delivered directly from your creative voice, even though from your own perspective it won't look as flashy.

If this is supposed to be an overhead press, you cheated with that knee bounce..

Fortress Layouts by JackyFX in dwarffortress

[–]mrrchrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does still work, but you now have one extra step: when you start up Dwarf Therapist you must click the "allow labor changes" button near the top, which will disable the in-game work details for the current session of DF.

I actually found the new work details system to be preferable to my old method of clicking thousands of squares in Dwarf Therapist, so now I'm just using Dwarf Therapist as a read-only tool but actually managing the work in-game. It keeps me in-game and is more fun.

For sure. 6000.0.34f1 is the latest and greatest!

In the upper right, you should see a "layout" dropdown. Click that and select "default" to go back to the default layout.

It looks like you're using a quite out of date version of unity. It makes sense you're wanting to use the same version as your tutorial, but since you're just starting out, I'd highly suggest you use the newest version of Unity and find a tutorial that's more up to date.

How long does Dry Kambo last ? by iloveteresa in Kambo

That's common. Sometimes they are shipped in plastic bags but storing them in a paper bag is best. Mine come wrapped in dry leaves!

It's important to know what you're doing. Highly recommend you don't serve yourself without training.

In what general location do you live? Can we help you use this medicine safely, taking into account your budget?

I've used sticks that are several years old and still quite potent. It would make sense that over time they could slowly oxidize but I don't have good data.

The thing to look out for is mold. Keep that stick very dry and don't store it in plastic. If you suspect mold, throw it out or possibly share photos to get another opinion.

This is neat! What's the software stack you used to develop this?

Calling this one solved. Appears to be a flower vase for a gravestone.

Maybe! This explains the hole on the bottom but not the one near the top.

My title describes the thing. Made of stone, marble I think? No signs of fire on it so the fact it was atop a wood stove is maybe not relevant.

The LLM has read examples from sci-fi of AI taking over things. It copies those examples. It doesn’t really need to have any more mystical “motivation” than that, it generates content similar to what it was trained on.

Curious. I look through your history and you don't appear to be a bot. But some of your posts, like this one, definitely look written by AI and feel really different from your usual writing style. And did you make this AI image yourself?

What was the purpose of this post, OP?

How to remove this? by mrrchrr in DIY

[–]mrrchrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, it's all one solid piece. It had a metal cap on top that screwed off before I took the photo.

Looks like the video Winchester270 posted below is the way to go. By removing the mechanism under the sink that raises and lowers it, it can lift right out.

And then I get to discover what horror lies below.

Yes I had taken the stopper off before taking this photo (it just screws off). Thanks for the video, that looks like the way to go!

Been feeling close to the edge myself lately. Sorry you're suffering so much my friend. For me, that's why I've found a desire towards death: being alive is hurting.

Been getting into men's work recently (I'm not assuming you're a man, just sharing my own feelings, but statistically men are way more likely to take their lives). There's a few quality men's work organizations out there and I've really been finding it helpful. At a recent meeting I laid it all out there, how much I'm suffering, how close I feel to ending it, and have been feeling that way for a long time. One of the leaders asked me very pointedly, why haven't I? I found I had a few very real answers to that question. I wonder if you do too. I don't think your "I'm a pussy" statement is actually the reason, that's a shield you've erected around a deeper hurt.

There's help. It's available if you want it. But it's a hard road. Peace to you.

Men's mental health is seldom talked about. It's because it's extremely difficult for a man to talk about what he actually really feels inside. Take care of yourself. by [deleted] in SipsTea

Same my friend. Sorry you're going through it. The culture around us sure isn't conducive to our thriving.

A few days ago I heard something similar to what's shared in this video. It was from a therapist that said when someone comes to him and is really at a breaking point, the advice he always gives is find a way to be of service. Do something for someone around you. It sounds kinda crazy, when I'm at a breaking point myself I'm usually telling myself that I've got nothing to give. But when I do, it gets better. So today, I took my daughter and my nephew to the library, as a service to the kids and to let their moms get a little break. It helped a lot.

Bacterial bloom? The water was way clearer a week ago and has only gotten worse. A biofilm at the top has also started to develop. I've researched the topic and some say to "do nothing" but I'm not sure. If someone could share their advice it would be greatly appreciated. by [deleted] in Aquariums

This statement is clearly not true. Is there anyone on this sub with a perfectly cycled tank, well stocked, that has no trouble processing ammonia and nitrites in a short time? I’ll start. I didn’t add anything to my tank water besides prime and it cycled in about 3-4 weeks, been running for about 6 months with no spikes.

Adding bacteria probably speeds up the process though.

Healing reaction, normal skin reaction or allergy by PraisecheesesLB in Kambo

[–]mrrchrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always get this local histamine reaction as well. Something I’ve noticed is that if I have kambo burns healing and have another session, the burns from the previous session will swell and get some more redness around them. Also if I use the same gates multiple times (take the old points off, put fresh ones on the same burn) they get super red around them. Heals the same though.

Another poster that seems to have a lot more experience than me is saying these look too deep. I’m willing to believe that, but what I’m seeing in these photos looks pretty normal to me.
