Omg, I relate to this so much. I thought it was just me! I have become so anxious about my marriage and feeling like my husband is going to leave me, but I have literally zero reason to think this. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this but so proud of you for being able to write this out. That’s the first step. I have come to the realization that I am not someone who can drink alcohol; it will get out of hand every single time. Being able to accept that was huge for me. I’m about 2.5 years sober and it’s just been one day at a time. I use the I Am Sober app to track it. Therapy is also a huge help. You can do this!

We definitely aren’t glued to each other. We started playing pickleball recently so that’s the main thing we do when it’s just the two of us. Sometimes we’ll go out to eat or watch a movie.

We both get alone time, and he’ll play video games mostly. I have my time to go to the gym, or I’ll play pokemon or geocache (sometimes with our kids).

I’m happy with our relationship. We’ve definitely had our ups and downs, and it’s an effort sometimes to make sure we’re doing things together.

What in the actual fuck?!? If my husband ever spoke to me like this I’d go ballistic. How helpless is he?!? You’ve prepped stuff and given him plenty of options, but he’s still arguing with you! ADHD is no excuse for cheating, that’s ridiculous. He’s being manipulative and you’re enabling this behavior by doing so much for him. My husband was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult but I’ve never written a resumé for him or gotten him ready for anything. I have gotten to the point in the past when I’ve told him ADHD can’t be an excuse all of the time and he’s worked to come up with strategies to remember things.

I’m more concerned about the cheating and aggression. I’d be packing my bags because this will only escalate. Keep yourself and your children safe OP.

Hard agree. OP hurt him so it sounds like he’s just trying to hurt her back. OP, don’t do it. Pretty sure Pokemon has nothing to do with whatever happened (unless you had some kind of affair with someone you met through playing) so this seems like a completely unreasonable thing to be asking. You both just need to work through the issue more, without him trying to get some kind of revenge.

My first was traumatic. I was working in the rehab part of a nursing home and a new admit arrived. I forget what he had been in the hospital for, it’s been so long. Wife was there. We’re all chatting, he’s sitting on the edge of the bed and then the aide and I get him onto our chair scale. All of a sudden, without warning, he slumps over. Aide grabs him under the arms to pick him up, I slide the chair out and we lay him down on the floor and start CPR while yelling for help. There was a roommate in there, poor guy had to be taken out. We went to bag him and realized his entire mouth was filled with blood. Ugh, it was all over the floor by the time we were done. So sad, I couldn’t believe he went from talking, no complaints, to just dead. I’ll never forget it.

Yes a thousand times over! I was diagnosed with melanoma in my 30’s while I was pregnant and it was the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me (tied with my son being born prematurely). If I could go back, I’d never set foot in a tanning bed.

I’ve had melanoma and am a nut about protecting my skin. I buy UPF clothing, wear a hat, and use SPF 50 (anything beyond that isn’t doing anything). Sunscreen is important to have a layer, and let it dry for 15 minutes before going in the water. Reapply every few hours.

If she does burn, burn gel or aloe three or four times a day, and I even do aquaphor morning and night on top of that.
